“Old fashioned comfort and style”
Breaking a tiring journey at this old country house was a traveller's delight. The historic building itself is as remarkable as the friendly service and good food and refreshment. Doing it again on our return journey was doubly enjoyable.

A beautiful, peaceful old hotel on a large estate next to a loch. The rooms vary quite a bit depending on what you go for, we went for a high end room and it was delicious. “Pleasant lodge. Be very specific about your room!!”
Pleasant stay after poor start. I booked with deposit a superio posterbed room almost a year before. On arrival we were shown to a very small room on the top floor, albeit with a poster bed. It is always embarrassing to have to complain and it took a while for them to admit we were in wrong class… more

“Some positives, some negatives”
This is an old building with typical limitations. There's no elevator, but staff helped with luggage. Long winding hallways. Rooms were small and you had to kneel at the desk to work on a PC. On the other hand, there was a great firm bed and a good shower. Great lighting. And very friendly st… more
