On arrival we were welcomed at reception, given our room key as it was ready earlier than expected. My friend and I had requested a suite with another double bed made up in the lounge area. We were on the fifteenth floor and the views were amazing. You have the option of taking the glass lift, this offers great views of the city. The suite was immaculate. Housekeeping really does a terrific job – it’s like no one has ever stayed there before. Everything was pristine, especially considering they have so much to do. We had opted for afternoon tea and an evening meal. Afternoon tea was amazing, so many sandwiches, cakes, scones etc to eat. Prosecco was delicious. Catherine our host was delightful. Very attentive without being intrusive. We had access to the Executive Lounge. Tea, coffee, crisps and fruit is available until around 5:30pm when you can enjoy a glass of wine, beer and canapes. I didn’t get a chance to read the name badge on the host as he was so busy going in and out replenishing the food. I did feel a bit sorry for him because as soon as he put out fresh food, people just descended on it like a plague of locusts and filled multiple plates. That said, the view from the lounge is unbelievable. There was the opportunity to use the pool and gym, but we were just so full we didn’t take advantage of them. The bar area on the ground floor is so spacious. Never did we feel there were too many people in there. There’s a huge selection of drinks and the bar staff are very friendly. There wasn’t a queue for drinks and we were served very quickly. I just want to mention that all cultures are equally welcomed, but if you can read Mandarin (of course they are in English too), there are signs pointing you towards an exceptional tea station. My favourite part of breakfast. Our evening meal was chosen from a set menu and there was plenty of choice and it was reasonably priced. The quality of the food was outstanding and there was no pressure to finish your meal and leave. Attila was our server and he ensured we were satisfied with the meal. We were also genuinely welcomed by the Hotel Manager, Angela Elliot, she recognised us from a previous visit. She wanted to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. Later on, the Hotel Supervisor who took over once Angela had left (can’t remember her name) also asked as if we were enjoying the Crowne Plaza experience and indeed, we were. I think you would have to be exceptionally critical not to enjoy this hotel and the Crowne Plaza experience. From the moment you walk through the door, you can be assured that there are a team of highly trained hosts that will make your stay amazing. Lastly, I would recommend that if you have any uncertainty regarding your itinerary whilst visiting Glasgow, ask “Ben”, the concierge. What he doesn’t know about Glasgow isn’t worth knowing.

I had an excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow! The staff were absolutely lovely and made every effort to ensure my visit was memorable. The breakfast was outstanding, with a fantastic variety that set me up perfectly for the day. At check-out, they even waived the parking fee, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Although there was a bit of a queue at check-in, the attentive staff came around with complimentary white and red wine, which was a wonderful touch and made the wait much more enjoyable. My room was spotless, with an amazing view that truly elevated the experience, especially as I was heading out to see UB40 play that night. All in all, a fabulous stay—I would highly recommend it and look forward to returning!
