“Very good location for Newcastle arena”

Had a very nice stay here for 2 nights to go to the arena and the boiler shop very short walk to both ( about 5 minutes) On arrival we were greeted at reception by very nice friendly staff, our room was ready and nice clean and comfortable and warm, with wheelchair accessible bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection of continental and the good old English breakfast it was nice to have the choice of eggs (fried, poached) cooked to order. All in all the hotel was very good, we had a issue in the night with other guests but the reception team dealt with the situation very well. We would certainly stay here again,

“Super friendly and helpful staff”

Super friendly staff, really helpful, rooms are comfortable but dated and are in need of a lot of tlc, large rooms but not enough storage for clothes, on the downside food ran out at breakfast, you were then waiting 5-10 minutes for eggs and bacon to come out, also looked like they had homeless peo… more

Super friendly staff, really helpful, rooms are comfortable but dated and are in need of a lot of tlc, large rooms but not enough storage for clothes, on the downside food ran out at breakfast, you were then waiting 5-10 minutes for eggs and bacon to come out, also looked like they had homeless people stopping there, overall not bad.

OK first off we arrived Fri afternoon reception staff were very friendly and helpful the hotel is situated very near the city centre the car park is just over the road in a multi storey. The hotel is clean and tidy although a little tired, the rooms are the same beds are quite comfortable we had no problem sleeping there is a bar that is by reception it's a little expensive but it's a hotel so that's not surprising they do lack staff however the restaurant is OK but that's about it they really need to look at staff training and management IE no sauces for the steak because they had no cream starters came out with the main meal which ment the main meal was cold at breakfast they constantly ran out of everything this is unacceptable the pass should NEVER be empty bad kitchen management the young girl was on her own running around like a headless chicken with no help from the manager again unacceptable this could be a good hotel but for the lack of details that said I would stay again because of its location to the city

Breakfast was a disaster no bread to start with so no toast and had none in stock , put egg on plate then no beans sausage or bacon all empty they said be 10 minutes . The beans arrived then had another wait for bacon then she asked the people waiting why still stood there, we were waiting on the sausage ooh another 10 minutes she said it finally arrived to a sarcastic cheer but people had given in by then . This was Sunday 1st December it spilt a good visit to the hotel .
