“St Michael’s Resort, Falmouth”

I spent 5 nights at St Michael’s Resort in Octoberhalf term, with my Mum. We had a warm welcome from Kyle when we arrived after a long journey involving a closed M5…Kyle was lovely and kept the kitchen open a little longer to enable us to order room service (which was delicious and speedy)🤩 We woke up to a beautifully sunny day in our gorgeous twin room with en-suite bath with shower over and balcony -Room 13. It had a partial sea view and spacious balcony to sit on and controllable radiator to enable us to dry towels and clothing throughout our stay. Breakfast was great with a wide choice of locally sourced food. The Spa was great and fantastic treatments available. Mum and I had a Mum and Me Facial and Afternoon Tea which I loved ❤️ Mum also treated herself to a Scalp Massage. We ate from the bar menu and it was delicious, as was the dinner we booked in for on Sunday evening. Pool is lovely as is the adjoining sauna and steam room. It’s opposite Gylly beach and beach cafe and there’s a little Co-op next door. Really is the perfect spot to explore Cornwall in style..with the odd spa treatment too! Staff were super friendly and we will definitely be returning! Olly 🤩

There were multiple 'likes' to our 4-day visit to St Michaels Resort. For a start, the staff were unfailingly welcoming and helpful. The several small requests we made were addressed immediately and reliably. All the public rooms were pleasing, comfortable and most attractively decorated. The 'housekeeping' was simply excellent. So also was the dining, from superb breakfasts to quite elegant suppers, as well as a range of 'light bites' available on request at almost any time. Our simple room was clean, well-presented and kept that way by unobtrusive staff. The twin beds were comfortable. An old wooden table and a similar wardrobe completed the furnishings. The bathroom area was rather spartan, and we felt at risk of a fall accessing/clambering out of the quite slippery bath-with-shower. The doors to each room along our corridor all closed with a loud bang, due to the strong closure devices fitted, which wakened us each time someone came and went. During our first night, the lady in the room opposite said hello and goodby to someone different five times, before her door finally closed with yet another bang. The 'health club' facilities are in a different building nearby. This was very busy with locals. We explored the facilities, but decided not to bother crossing the car park in dressing gowns, etc. The 'spa' centre seemed devoted to pre-booked treatments so again we declined.
