“Great stay near Hyde Park”

Troy Hotel is conveniently situated near to Hyde Park and Queensway tube station. Well equipped room with good, near blackout curtains. Immaculately clean. Continental breakfast included too. All in all a great stay in a quiet and safe area of central London.

“Nice location and not a bad hotel”

Good clean and tidy hotel near Hyde Park. Free breakfast was fairly average but apart from that close to 2 tube stations and would stay again. No air con on room. Fairly spacious. Staff were mostly nice except the breakfast lady was rude. Good value

Stayed here due to proximity to Hyde Park as was attending one of the BST events. Location is spot on; few minutes to the nearest park gate and about another 5-15 mins walk depending on which entrance your ticket is for if attending a BST show. Initially we were unimpressed with the service and facilities as the staff didn’t seem to be all that great, and the room was a bit tatty (carpets around the edges of room were vile, curtains didn’t shut properly, shower went from ice cold to scalding hot and back again in a cycle with a small window of suitable temperature in between which made showering interesting, plus it was the tiniest shower cubicle in the world, and towels provided aren’t really of adequate size for adults, etc). But we just needed somewhere to get our heads down for a night after a gig and didn’t care too much about a no frills experience as we weren’t staying in the hotel aside from sleeping, and for this thankfully it was adequate. Not too much noise from other guests in hotel, temperature of room was pleasant enough (but there was a fan provided too), the bedding seemed clean, and there was coffee and croissants available for breakfast. To summarise; for an overnighter after a gig nearby or a shopping trip / show this was just right. Any longer and I think the cons would have outweighed the pros. Would return - but only for an overnighter.

I went on June 2024 by myself, 3 nights. The 1p room was... meh... the bed was ok, but the batroom was extremly tiny - not sutable for big or fat people. Neither the shower, that is outside of the bathroom (but of course inside the room). It doesnt have light. The room was a llittle bit noisy - I could hear the wood floor from the room above mine. Not very nice if they wake up earlier than you. The room doesnt have a plug-in, only for the fridge and tv - so you need to unplug it to plug in your cellphone. The bed was comfortable and so the pillow. The breakfast was poor quality - not many options of anything, but had cacao - they dont have hot milk. The staff at brekfast room was not cordial nor nice. Location is very good - I recommend it. Reception staff is very nice. The hotel has a machine for water and some other drinks. If I go back to london, I might consider to come back to this hotel if the price is good - at this moment it was expensive in comparison to other countries, but chepar than other hotels in London - so, a good option.
