My boyfriend and I stayed in Travelodge London Central Southwark for 7 nights (18 - 26 February). Our experience couldn’t be better. As we arrived at 1 p.m. and the check-in was at 3, they gave us the option to put our luggage in their cloakroom to have a walk as a first contact with the city. Our room was placed in front of the music box building. We had seen some reviews talking about the noise of the trains, so we even bought ear plugs. However, I don’t know if it was because of how our room was placed (number 230) but we didn’t hear anything. It is true that since we were close to the elevators and an unknown door with no access, there were some noises in the morning when guests opened the door next to the elevator or the cleaning service opened some other room’s doors, although that noise was momentary and minimal. We slept in comfort every night, not just due to the silence but also because of the bed. I can’t even explain how comfortable it was! 10/10! It seems like the bed and pillow absorb you (in the best way of course). We were out the whole day visiting London and it was amazing to come back and rest in those beds! We would like to mention Bhanu, who was there to help us every time we need something with the biggest smile, and Tom, who was also very kind and helpful with us. Since we are from Spain, we are used to having our beds done every time the cleaning service cleans our rooms (as it is sometimes typical here). Just so you know, the hotel doesn’t do it - which I didn’t care much about, honestly, because the rest was perfect. They also provide you with body gel and hand washing gel if you don’t want to bring anything! Also, you have tea, milk and coffee in the room that they refill. The rooms seem big enough for two people. You don’t have wardrobes but they provide you with hangers if you need them. You can charge your mobile phone without a USB connector charger cable, without a UK travel adaptor. Since I have a lightning cable, I needed the adaptor, but my boyfriend did not.
