I had the pleasure of staying at The Waldorf Hilton in London twice, and both experiences were truly exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Mariana at reception and her wonderful support team. During my first stay, Mariana went above and beyond to assist us. We needed a microwave to heat up a meal for our son, which is not something the hotel typically provides. However, Mariana made every effort to help us, ensuring we felt supported and cared for. This level of dedication played a big part in our decision to stay at Hilton again during our next visit to London. The second time, we faced a small issue with the heater in the bathroom. Mariana promptly stepped in to resolve the situation. She arranged for a room change and made sure the entire process was smooth and stress-free, ensuring we didn’t have to carry the burden of moving rooms ourselves. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care truly stood out. Thanks to Mariana and the incredible team at The Waldorf Hilton, our stays have been both comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile have left a lasting impression. I will definitely return to The Waldorf Hilton on my next trip to London.

“Awesome Hotel!!”

Spent our a XMas week there in December. Awesome experience and the service was outstanding. Rooms were very clean, quiet and bedding was quite comfortable. Daniel was awesome at the Concierge Desk and took care of all our needs. Can't wait to go back there again when in London.

I also discovered 5 star service from Andy C in the executive lounge. Andy was a hospitality professional in all regards. Thank you Andy! The breakfast was high quality and the gym was spacious. Waldorf London... I'll be back as soon as possible!

We stayed at the Waldorf Hilton during the Christmas shopping season, which is a magical time to visit London. I am giving this a three star review, although it could easily have been four or five stars with better quality control. First the good: The hotel is in an excellent location in the heart of the West End . At 9-10pm, when the evening shows get out, the area is thronged with spirited theatre-goers. The Waldorf doormen offer a smile and a pleasant remark as you enter from the crowds, a welcome respite. Breakfast in the restaurant is excellent. The buffet offers most of what you could hope for, and/or you can order off the menu. The duck spring rolls that are in the Chinese section of the menu were phenomenal (although the portion is tiny). I want to give a particular shout-out to our first waiter, Shawon, who was kind, friendly and attentive. The bar just off the entrance is great. I had a single malt per the bartender's suggestion, expensive but not terribly, that was fantastic. (I did not get the bartender's name but can tell by his accent that he's American.). The room is classy and refined, very well decorated. Our room was small but pleasant. It was well furnished and the bed was quite comfortable. If I could make any changes I would add shelves and drawers -- there just weren't any, other than a very tall shelf above the hanging clothes, and the desk drawer where you can keep an extra charger or 2, or maybe an extra pair of socks. We spent our three nights living out of our suitcases out in the open. This is not ideal. By way of suggestion, the cabinet on which the television sits could easily be made a proper dresser; the drawers on ours were fake. The bathroom is nice, but spare. I especially liked the heated towel hanger. Unfortunately the stopper on the tub never completely sealed, so if you wanted a proper bath you had to keep the water running. Room service was a disaster. I ordered a ribeye. As you can see in the photo it was very thin and fatty. (Not marbled fat, just big chunks of it.). It was served with a muddy, film-covered sauce with unknown solids in it. I could not identify the sauce but it was definitely not au jus. I steered clear. Otherwise the steak was completely unseasoned -- no salt, pepper, nothing. The chips that came alongside were stale. My wife ordered the "charcuterie plate". This was not a proper charcuterie plate in any sense, just a few thin slices of unremarkable sandwich meat (maybe enough to fill a foot-long sub). No pate, no cheese, no mustard, pickles or the like. At about $30 U.S., this was an embarrassment. Our server forgot to bring the beer I ordered. She also forgot to bring salt, pepper or dressing for our salad. When I called down to the front desk, she returned with two beers -- neither of which was the one I ordered. She explained that there was no tip included in the bill (although there was a service charge -- evidently the hotel keeps that). I went ahead and tipped her anyway. Would I recommend the Waldorf? Perhaps, although at the rate they're charging, you can probably do better. Avoid the room service at all costs.
