We had an amazing stay at The Resident. The staff were amazing - o welcoming, polite, friendly and so helpful. They even left us a wonderful treat to celebrate my birthday! So kind! We really felt we had found a home from home. The room was peaceful with a comfortable bed and the bed was comfortable with pristine sheets. Fantastic, powerful shower! The location was perfect for sightseeing, shopping, with plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I can’t say enough nice things about this charming, well run, cozy, and attractive hotel in South Kensington. When I come to London, I generally stay for three or four weeks at a time and find the Resident Kensington to be the absolutely perfect home base for my visits. The rooms are cozy and exceptionally well designed with the kinds of attention to detail that really make a difference. There are efficient and immaculate little kitchen set ups behind cupboard doors that allow the flexibility of having a quiet breakfast in your room or a simple picnic dinner after a long day of running around this vibrant city. The bathrooms have good lighting, thick towels, and wide generous ledges with room for all of your toiletry products—an often-overlooked feature in hospitality design. As far as convenience, the hotel is one block away from the Earl’s Court underground station which serves two key lines, including the Piccadilly which you get from Heathrow—an incredible and economical convenience. The hotel is out of the red-hot center of the city, but you are literally 10 minutes by tube from Covent Garden for example, and within charming walking distance from Chelsea, the V&A, and King’s Road, etc. There is also a good grocery store a block away to stock your fridge, and a plethora of good local restaurants that reflect the multiculturalism of the neighborhood. The lobby is cozy and pretty, and a delightful spot to either relax or get some work done should you need to. Finally, the staff. The Resident Kensington team are the warmest, most welcoming, friendly, and professional crew imaginable. They are a big part of why I love staying there on my visits and have no doubt you will too.

“Elegant, spotless, calm”
Staff couldn't do enough to make stay enjoyable. Fully refurbed, stylish, contemporary building. Modern, spotless bath and bedroom, quiet although bedroom was road-facing. My go-to hotel in the area, well done team. Breakfast available (didn't try)
