The Colonnade Hotel started life as two private Victorian houses in 1865 which were then converted into an all girls’ boarding school in 1880. In 1886, the building was made into a birthing hospital called The Warrington Lodge Medical and Surgery Home for Ladies. “Great location traditional style hotel”
We stayed at The Colonnade hotel for two nights to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in a deluxe room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. “Not as bad as they say but needs work”
Look, it wasn’t the horror story it could have been. Room was clean, air con worked, it was a bit nosy, linen was clean and changed each day, lift was a visit to the 1940’s and reception never answered the phones.
