There is a Paddington railway station near the hotel. So the placement really good. You can walk around all is near. In 30 min walking you can arrive to most important attractions. Staff is friendly. In the room you can feel the sound of the nearlest trains, but not so loud.

The most gorgeous Victorian townhouse complete with high celibate very comfy bed and Pillows with really lovely decor. It is only 2 minutes from Paddington and I had a lovely view of Norfolk Square. I had a lovely week at the Shakespeare Hotel. The personnel was very hospitable and welcoming. The breakfast (not included) was good and plenty: fruit, muesli, toast, waffles, beans on toast, yogurt. I had a lovely week at the Shakespeare Hotel. The personnel was very hospitable and welcoming. The breakfast (not included) was good and plenty: fruit, muesli, toast, waffles, beans on toast, yogurt. The breakfast room was split three-ways, and I was sat in a lovely quiet room. My bedroom was nice and quiet, too. And very clean. The bed firm, the shower gel fragrant but not overwhelming. Heating was working well during the cold spell that I was there. Note though that the hotel is a listed building, and builders were working outside my room my first few days there. That was a bit intense. Also, it's an old building with original features, reasons for me to stay there. I love these old traditional buildings with lots of nooks and crannies, but if you're not into that, you might not enjoy the place as much as I did. (Hence the four stars.) The hotel is also conveniently located near bars, restaurants, delicious take-away, Hyde Park and Paddington Station (2-min walk). When I go back to London, I will definitely stay there again.
