“Great location”

Mohammed was very helpful with explaining to us everything the hotel had to offer. The location was fabulous, staff was always so kind and accommodating. The only downside was the pillows were a bit flat even when two were on top of each other. Overall, we would absolutely stay again

This hotel was pretty well located however the roads around it are under construction. Ask the desk for a room away from the noise. We were on the 4th floor with construction on a building across from us. I must say that the windows did keep out a lot of the sounds. The hotel room itself was lacking. I booked a “superior” room. The beds were comfy. The room had one nightstand on one side of the bed and a round dining table on the other side. A very large chair took up most of the space in front of the window. It had a rolling desk chair at the desk. Now here is the very odd part. The dresser had the usual tv on top of it. But it was not a true dresser. One side of it had previously been used as the tea/coffee/icebucket and mini bar fridge area. The middle was a large open area (where the fridge once was) and the other side of the dresser had 4 very shallow drawers. The carry on bags fits in the area where the mini fridge once was. We had backpacks so they fit. Two rolling bags would not fit in there. My husband put some of his clothes in the drawers. I put what could fit on the shelves that once held the ice bucket and kettle but for the most part I had to leave my clothing in my suitcase. We spent 5 nights there so this was not very convenient. The area by the front door was very sleek and modern. It had the hanging clothes area, a safe, the kettle/coffee/tea area. We never did find any usb ports. Thankfully we brought a converter and a charging tower with us.The bathroom had a shower only. If you do not ask you will not get daily service for the room. I had stayed at the Park Plaza Riverbank the night before our longer stay at the Victoria. I was so disappointed as the hotels were so very very different. The Riverbank wins my vote. However, I moved to the Victoria because of its location. It is about 3 blocks away from the Victoria tube station and bus area. Also within walking distance is the Apollo Theatre as well as the Victoria Palace Theatre. We walked to Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. There are restaurants in the area as well as a very popular pub. A grocery store is also a few blocks away. The buffet breakfast was good. If you wanted eggs other than scrambled or baked you asked for them.

We stayed at the Park Plaza for its location which was excellent. The hotel entrance is very stylish and the check in process was fine. We had booked an executive room as a twin but it was very tired and dark. Apart from the excellent shower there was nothing else in the room that was anything special. There is an odd collection of new and very dated furniture and everything just didn’t seem completely clean. The beds were ok but the pillows were horrendous. Breakfast was very average. The yearly was cold and the hot food not very hot. Even as hotel buffets go it was disappointing. We will not be back unless the rooms are revamped and the breakfast offering improved.
