Stayed here for 3 nights in early January. The room was fairly small with 3 single beds, which was perfect as we’d booked a triple room. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was one of the comfiest that I’ve slept in. The bathroom was clean too with hand soap provided. We were on the top floor (3rd) and the wifi worked perfectly fine for everyone in the group. It’s worth noting that there isn’t a kettle provided in the room but downstairs in the communal lounge there is a kettle with tea, coffee and sugar that’s free and available for guests to use. This has to be drunk in the lounge, you can’t take any cups up to your room. The staff were very friendly, especially those working the breakfast shift who always greeted us warmly every morning. Breakfast is a simple affair of toast, jam, butter, ham, cheese, boiled eggs and cereal. Ample hot coffee and orange squash available too. Overall, I would happily stay at the Orchard Hotel again as it’s clean, safe, welcoming and a great price for the area.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was spacious with a tiny bathroom. The furniture and carpet were truly dated. This was not an issue for us given that we are in our room to sleep and shower. The room & bathroom is clean. The room is serviced daily - happy with this! Bed is comfortable but the pillows were too soft to give any support. The breakfast provided daily was adequate, satisfactory- toast, 3 varieties of cereal, ham & cheese, hard boiled eggs, tea and coffee, water & juice. It’s the same everyday. No complaints. You get your own pot of fresh hot tea when you ask for it. All good. You have to ask for toiletries like body wash, shampoo and conditioner. No questions asked. It’s not readily supplied in the room like other hotels. No body lotion. Guessing this is their way to minimise wastage & costs. There’s a lift in the building. Our room was on the top floor. Breakfast is in the basement level. We are glad for the lift service. Location wise- it’s a 10min walk (more like 5mins with no luggage) to Paddington Station. 5 minute walk to Lancaster Gate bus stop. It’s a handy location. Paddington is on the Elizabeth line which means it’s a direct train to Heathrow Airport. Paddington station is like Central station, trains to everywhere. I would choose to stay in Paddington any time. It’s walking distance (roughly 5-10mins) to Hyde Park & Kensington Gardens; Kensington Palace, Royal Albert Hall and Marble Arch. No hesitation coming back to this hotel in the future. It’s easy when a hotel supplies breakfast as part of their room.

“Good and cheap for the location”

Only thing they could do better might be some more breakfast options - but it was fine and I got what I needed. Great cofee. Close to Paddington trainstation with easy connections to the airport.
