We traveled to London for a birthday trip. Before we traveled I called ahead to ask questions and spoke to the reception team. Wiktoria was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area. She asked if it was a special occasion which I replied a birthday trip, but thought nothing of it. When we arrived we went out for a walk, when we returned together with her colleague Kayla and the housekeeping staff the room had been decorated with flowers and fizz to drink! A hotel is only as good as its staff…..they were truly first class! They made my partner’s day it truly was above and beyond! We cannot thank them enough.. Wiktoria and Kayla hope the spelling is correct were amazing. Thank you also again to the unsung housekeeping as well!

We stayed here for one night this December, on a Sunday. First of all; the staff were incredible. They were kind, welcoming and accommodating - they couldn’t have done more for us at check in if they tried. We arrived early morning to drop off our bags and were offered hot drinks whilst we did the check in paperwork, and our bags were taken to be stored free of charge. They were left in our room for our actual arrival. The room was nice, and in an ideal location in London (especially if you’re a theatre lover), but they are quite outdated. The mini bar doesn’t lock, so not super secure in terms of if you had little ones with you who could get in and open things. The room itself was poor in hygiene which let it down. It wasn’t filthy, but rather dusty and the bathroom floor was full of fluff and hairs. The sink hadn’t been cleaned and the sanitary bag dispenser was empty. Mirrors streaky. I appreciate there will be a tight turnaround for cleaning, especially after a busy weekend, but for how expensive the room was I’d expect it to be clean. We arrived to actually check in after 10pm so didn’t cause a fuss as there were no staff present at the reception desk once we got our key. We found the towels to be rock hard and full of starch, and the hand wash and shampoo left my hair and skin dry. The bed was the star of the show - mega comfy and with pillows I wanted to take home. Overall we would stay again, but perhaps during the week when cleaners would have more time to properly prepare the room.

Location is great. Rooms are small and cold. Website says it has a bar and restaurant serving buffet breakfasts. It doesn't. No bar and no restaurant. You get given 2 vouchers for the cafe next door wheres there is about 6 tables each day it was standing room only. The menu is mostly continental although u do get eggs. We ate out during our stay at the nearest wetherspoons where we got a hot breakfast at a table.!!!! No hand wash in the bathroom when we arrived I asked on way out if it cld b filled. It wasn't!! Next 2 days I left the empty container in the sink, each day it was put back still empty into its stand. We used the shower gel! Website also says you get a glass of prosecco o arrival.....u don't. In a nut shell you absolutely don't get what the website states you do. Think carefully before you book. We got a 5 star in Covent garden for not much more last time we visited
