The hotel is in a perfect location, close to Hyde Park and the Underground. From the outside it looks tired , with peeling paint. This feeling continues throughout the hotel that requires and update. The bathroom was very small with old fashioned shower and curtain. On a positive, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. One of the national budget hotels offer better accommodation and value for money

On the pro side - great location right next to Hyde Park and reasonably priced. Very quiet at night (when we were there active construction next door was pretty noisy during the day, but not before 8 or after 5.) On the pro side - great location right next to Hyde Park and reasonably priced. Very quiet at night (when we were there active construction next door was pretty noisy during the day, but not before 8 or after 5.) Also decent breakfast, friendly staff and has rooms w 3 beds, which is not easy to find. On the con side, this place is tired. The decor is dated, the rooms are spartan w lumpy pillows. There are no phones in the rooms so no way to reach the staff without going to the lobby. Not sure how the hotel maintains their 3 star rating.

Good hotel clean hotel lets face it your only there for a few hours at night-----but---got the package with free breakfast and they served no eggs except hard boiled what I am not going on a picnic. hair dryers are hard wired and are in a drawer with a 2 foot cord if your 4 feet tall it is perf... more

Good hotel clean hotel lets face it your only there for a few hours at night-----but---got the package with free breakfast and they served no eggs except hard boiled what I am not going on a picnic. hair dryers are hard wired and are in a drawer with a 2 foot cord if your 4 feet tall it is perfect you can not stand up and reach the top of your head and to adjust the water temperature is impossible

“No Longer Offer The Full English Breakfast”

No Cooked Breakfast !! Whilst the service at breakfast here was always bad, it was always due to tea and coffee service being very poorly organised having a detrimental affect on everything else. They now have self serve drinks machines for tea and coffee, which are way better and serve better ... more

No Cooked Breakfast !! Whilst the service at breakfast here was always bad, it was always due to tea and coffee service being very poorly organised having a detrimental affect on everything else. They now have self serve drinks machines for tea and coffee, which are way better and serve better beverages than previously. The trade off is that whilst the continental selection has improved, The Full English has gone completely. Great location, basic but clean rooms but I'm afraid that this, my 15th visit ( I am still here), will be my last. Quite simply the Bed and Breakfast rate is no longer competitive. Great staff still !!

My parter and I stayed here to attend an event. We stayed 1 night and booked with Booking.com. We decided to stay here as we had stayed around 4 time previously, the last time being about 6 years ago. We were disappointed to be honest, the place has lost its sparkle. Check in was smooth (albeit we were given a basement room and when I asked for a different room we were given it without issue which led me to think that we were given the basement room due to who we booked with). The room was clean and tidy. The only issue was there as no phone in the room to call reception. The toilet blocked and I had to fix it due to the time of the night it blocked. The bar closed at around 11.30pm despite it stating it was open until 1am - no mention of earlier closing etc in in-room book or keycard. Breakfast was lovely but only continental. I remember the delicious full English breakfast so this was a let down. Dinning room was clean and tidy and food well presented but to be honest I would not have booked bed and breakfast if I’d have know it was only continental. Overall it was a nice stay but not as good as pre-Covid when we stayed. I’m not sure if I’ll come back.
