Awesome location, super close to Paddington station - which brings you everywhere very easily. (The ride to the airport is maybe 20 min). Staff was very friendly. I had read the rooms were going to be small - they weren’t joking. Maybe I’m used to large King size beds; because the queen bed seemed to be more like a full size bed. It barely fit me and my husband. The bathroom was so small, and the shower seemed to always be scolding hot! It would be perfect for one person, but seemed a little small for two people. You do need to reserve the gym if you want to use it - they give you 45 min blocks of time (and are fairly strict about that limit). It’s a peloton and a few weights. I did use it once. The breakfast area downstairs was cute / very friendly staff and nice little outside patio area. Instead of water bottles, they leave a pitcher in your room with glasses and have water spouts in the hallways to refill the bottles. We just weren’t used to rooms this small. Although last time I was in London, I know the room was small too.

I recently stayed one night at the Inhabit Southwick. While I appreciate the vibe the hotel is trying to give and their sustainability message, I chose this hotel purely for its proximity to Paddington Station and being part of the Marriott Bonvoy program at a reasonable price for London. The hotel is about a 10min walk from Paddington. there are much closer hotels but it’s not a terrible walk. One of the strangest things on arrival is there is zero indication the hotel is part of Bonvoy. No signs in the small lobby, and my Titanium Elite status was not recognized at all. The check in staff was very friendly. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived and I was going to get some work done off the lobby but it was uncomfortably warm. My room on the 1st floor was small but perfectly fine for one person. The work desk is very cramped. The double bed is very comfortable but the pillows are very firm and hard. The bathroom is small but clean and everything worked as it should. There are heated floors in the bathroom which is a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was free and fast and there’s a big TV but no Netflix or YouTube or anything. My biggest complaint and why I would not stay here again, is with all the beautiful renovations to the hotel they did nothing to soundproof the windows. My room was right on Suffolk Garden road and was incredibly noisy all night with traffic, ambulances for the nearby hotel and screaming drunk people. It felt like the window was open it was so loud. I did not sleep well at all, which as a business traveler is critical. So overall a nice hotel, but I think there were better options.
