“Great Hotel 10/10”

Great food and great staff, the breakfast was very delicious, the bread and coffee were the best. I especially remember the cheerful Roger and the helpful Sharven. I would highly sugest this to my friends/family. I would love to come back and enjoy it all over again.

Hotel Indigo Kensington We would recommend this hotel We stayed in room 204 at this hotel for 4 nights and other then the bed being a bit too hard, we really didn’t have a single complaint. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and seemed eager to please and everywhere we looked was spotlessly clean. Our room was about standard size for most European hotel rooms in our experience, but the bath was larger and the shower especially so, better than the Marriott Hotel we stayed in our last night in London. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant but there were lots of eating options and shops just steps away. The subway station was only about 500 feet away and we made use of it every day of our stay to visit the sights around the city we didn’t see on our first visit. Using the subway was really easy but the people we met seemed only too happy to answer any questions we had about directions and the like. We always believe that the more advanced planning you do before a trip will only make it better and that proved to be true here as well.

I wish I could write a better review about this hotel, I really wanted to like it. The service was friendly. The main problem was we spent three nights sleeping very poorly because the air conditioning wasn’t keeping up. I asked for fans and were told they were all given out. It made for a very unpleasant stay. The room we were in was very small and barely fit the bed. There was nothing to put our luggage on. Beware of the shower. The floor is very slippery. Sadly, I would not recommend.

I recently stayed over a weekend in a Queen Bed Suite, with an average price of £300 per night. Here's my detailed review: What I Liked: Staff Friendliness: The staff were exceptionally friendly and always happy to help. They were very attentive to requests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay. Location: The hotel is conveniently located near multiple good restaurants and has ample public transport options, making it easy to explore the area. Suite Layout: The suite's layout was well-thought-out, featuring ample seating areas and a good bed. Although the bed was firm, it was comfortable. Additionally, the suite overlooked a quiet backyard, providing a peaceful environment. What I Did Not Like: Air Conditioning Issues: The air conditioning had significant problems. Despite having individual setting controls, the temperature only dropped by one degree over 24 hours of continuous running. This made the room uncomfortably warm and the air-condition unit took significant space on the ceiling and created a significant noise level. Bathroom Amenities: The bathroom lacked a heated towel rack, and the single vent couldn't handle steam from a normal hot shower, necessitating opening windows to clear the steam. Additionally, the walk-in shower was not sloped correctly, causing water to spread throughout the bathroom. It also took a considerable amount of time for the hot water to come through. Room Maintenance: Some of the curtains had holes and clearly needed a good cleaning, indicating a lack of attention to detail in maintaining the suite. Storage Space: There was very limited storage space to store clothes etc. The wardrobe was small and only featured a few hangers. Coffee/Tea facility: While there was a kettle, there was no coffee maker like it's standard in most hotels of this price range. Service Offering Issues: Food Quality & Availability: The food offerings were disappointing. The restaurant on Saturday evening was not fully operational and served what a staff member described as "microwaved food." This was far below the expected standard for a hotel in this price range. Breakfast: Although the breakfast offered a good choice of à la carte options, it was overall underwhelming. The buffet choices were not well-stocked, which diminished the breakfast experience. Mini Bar: While other reviewers report full mini bars with different choices, mine had only 2 bottles of water and according to the front desk that is all that should be in there. House Keeping: When I came back around 1600, housekeeping still had not serviced the room, therefore I had to decline that days housekeeping as I needed a shower. Front desk was very friendly and offered fresh towls etc, but I was happy to skip that. Conclusion: There are better alternatives in the area for the same price that offer more reliable amenities and service. Despite the friendly staff and convenient location, the hardware issues and subpar food offerings left me disappointed. Overall, I felt this was a bad choice and would not recommend this hotel for future stays.
