Holiday Inn London - Whitechapel, An Ihg Hotel

“Fantastic stay, highly recommended…”

Stayed at the hotel for a Friday and Saturday night and I must say it’s an exceptional hotel. Large rooms and very clean, and the staff were polite and efficient. The breakfast was also exceptional, plenty to choose from and all fresh.. It was in an ideal location for us and comes highly recommend.

I checked in quite late in the evening and was dealt with by the night manager who was very pleasant (sorry, I didn't get his name). Rooms here are the same as any Holiday Inn really so you know what you'll get - functional and clean and comfortable. Came down to breakfast and it was really busy, my heart sank - but then I was welcomed by Isram - what a very pleasant and cheery young woman, she really made my morning - a real credit to the hotel. The great thing about this hotel is that, although in a less fashionable district, it is literally a short walk from the City so well placed for business trips.

We had a wonderful stay with the family, and the overall experience was excellent. The rooms were spotless, and the location couldn't be more convenient. We felt we received great value for what we paid. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. A special thanks to Reenu, who graciously allowed me to take a meeting in the lounge. The breakfast was a highlight, with both the food and service exceeding our expectations. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning in the future.

Texas USA traveler, stayed 9 days at the Holiday Inn Whitechapel on Cavell Street on the east side of London with a bunch of friends on a tour group. Room was very clean, and air-conditioning worked well (while most of Europe is not accustomed to A/C). I was pleasantly surprised with the fantastic breakfast buffet spread. We got to know some of the bartenders, Mr. Shuvo and Mr. Vijaye, who were very cheerful and did a great job serving in the evenings! Some things for the US-based traveler to note: (1) upon entering the room, in order to get the lights to work, you must insert your room key into a slot adjacent to the door. (2) some of the shower stalls have a half-size full-length glass partition and no curtain, so some water might splash outside of the stall. (3) your room may or may not have a refrigerator, but you can leave cold items with the reception staff and they'll store it for you. (4) don't forget to bring your voltage adapter. (5) no on-site self-service laundry facility, but there's a Tesco convenience store about a block away that sells laundry detergent; we made use of the bathroom sink and strung up a laundry line (may take at least 36 hours to dry).
