“Abba”
Easy to get to (short walk from underground. Easy to walk to Abba Voyage (10 minutes). Friendly staff. Bags could be left before check in. Good clean room with huge bed and plenty of space. Good breakfast. Great value for a budget hotel. Recommended.

“Hotel good location for ABBA.”
Stayed 3 nights. The location was great for a visit to Abba voyage and the Westfield shopping centre and Stratford station. Less than 10 minutes walk to Abba and Station in other direction. Stayed 3 nights. The location was great for a visit to Abba voyage and the Westfield shopping centre and Stratford station. Less than 10 minutes walk to Abba and Station in other direction. Shopping centre was about 15 minutes walk. We ate twice in the shopping centre, lots of choices. Lots of trains into city centre. The hotel was busy. We had a huge comfortable bed, plenty of hot water in shower. The breakfast area does get busier as the morning goes on. Early times are much better. I was most impressed with the choices for breakfast. Bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, beans, tomatoes. Continental breakfast also. Pancake machine. Coffee was ok from the 3 machines. Would use this hotel again for the breakfast and the ease of access to city via underground.

Stayed here for 2 nights when we attended ABBA Voyage. The ABBA Arena was a 15 minute walk away. Stratford Underground was about the same distance. Stratford International station was around 20 minute walk. The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Our room needed a little TLC, the bathroom door handle was loose. One of the electrical sockets had superficial damage. These were small minor details and didn’t impact on our stay. The lifts worked well. All staff were friendly and professional.

“Good Nights' Sleep Not Enough to Return”

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was a mixed one. On the positive side, check-in was quick, and the bed was comfortable with both firm and soft pillows provided, which I liked, and resulted in a very good nights' sleep. On the downside, the plug socket next to the bed was coming away from the wall, which led me to question whether it was safe to use. The temperature of the shower fluctuated from hot to warm, and the paint on the ceiling above the shower had clear signs of cracking and will soon start flaking. The cooked breakfast was mediocre. Although breakfast had started an hour before I went down, the hash browns and sausages were tough and overcooked, whilst the bacon had that brown tinge that you see when it is starting to turn bad. At £166, the negatives outweighed the positives, so I won't be returning.
