There's so much to rave about. From the discrete entrance to the tricked out rooms, and the wonderful location, this is the most memorable experience. Reception is polite and charming. The reception area itself is unremarkable, but the two lounges are really great. I could picture coming here with a big group, renting a number of rooms and using the spaces for convening and hanging out. I was upgraded to a wonderful street facing room "Madame Kennedy." It was one flight up a set of stairs. Not a problem for me, but I believe some of the rooms you can get to using an elevator. I would inquire before arriving to request whatever room you think is appropriate for you. Read the reviews here. Yes, there is street noise from a club across the street. I would bring the noise machine or use an app on your phone if that bothers you. Treat yourself to a room service.

“Exceptional staff. Soho location hurts this place.”

The staff here are outstanding. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms are lovely and interesting if you like antiques. The staff here are outstanding. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms are lovely and interesting if you like antiques. The reception area and surrounding rooms are beautifully furnished with antiques including lovely paintings and mirrors. I really liked the honor gin bar- so creative. The bedrooms also are piled with antiques. There are some issues though some of which are not the fault of the hotel but rather the location. . Our room was at the back of the hotel which is usually preferable. However, in this case, we overlooked one of the many late night bars. The drunken screaming and brawling starts around midnight and goes until 3:30 ish (the bars close st 3). I actually opened my window at one point and requested the intoxicated revelers to tone it down. You can guess how well that went. This happened both nights so sleep was disrupted. The other thing that is within control of management are the bathroom toilets. They have antique toilet stools that are fitted over a modern toilet. These are awkward beyond belief. The cabinet cover has to be lifted up and does not stay in place so it hits you in the back while seated. The toilet seat and frame are wood which is more porous and raises hygienic questions as it can apt to absorb certain things. While kitschy to have a “throne”, modern plumbing is preferred.

Unbeatable location in the center of Soho. Small charming hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff, very informal. However the room layout hasn't changed since the 18th century.. Unbeatable location in the center of Soho. Small charming hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff, very informal. However the room layout hasn't changed since the 18th century.. TV awkwardly placed at an angle on the wall where you can't watch it properly. Lack of plug points - only two in the room and very hard to reach. Worst of all for me was the noise - every time a door shut in the hallway my room shook, and the noise was deafening.. I was on the 5th floor with luggage - but there is no lift..
