We were three friends in single rooms and were all very pleased with our stay. The rooms were all recently refurbished and clean. The hotel staff both at reception and in the dining room, were all lovely and could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a large selection of both savoury and sweet items. We were very impressed.

“Perfect for our needs!”

We booked the hotel based upon its convenient location and moderate rates. The property exceeded our expectations. Located just around the corner from Kensington South line, it was well suited for us to travel to and from our desired activities. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was a breeze. Our room was compact, but just what was needed for our rest and showers. We booked one with a small balcony overlooking Queensgate Lane, fun to watch the activity but still very quiet at night. Comfy bed and nice coffees and biscuits. We really enjoyed the recommended happy hour across the street at the sister property bar (Exhibitionist Hotel). Bar Manager Elena was a delight, taking time to not only mix marvelous cocktails, but also visit with us ( best part of travel is meeting new friends!). The beef stroganoff was excellent and the pizza was large and tasty. We were happy to have found this accommodation and recommend it to others.

“Excellent location, good base but nothing special for the price”

I stayed here for 4 nights in a double room and would give the hotel 5 stars for location - it’s less than 5 mins from South Kensington tube station (Piccadilly, Circle, District Lines), close to several buses and very close to the Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Kensington Park etc. - really incredibly convenient. It’s a lovely neighbourhood as well with lots of cute restaurants and shops. I was glad I booked a double room, it was spacious, clean, with a big window and desk and a comfy bed. They provide water every day, and there’s a kettle in the room as well. Staff was helpful and the internet worked well. On the downside, the sink was tiny with a slight sewage smell, no proper hooks in the bathroom, water pressure in the shower was low, no desk lamp, the cabinet for the minibar fridge was empty and iron only available on request. The room I had was right next to the lift which was quite noisy and the curtains weren’t proper black out curtains. The breakfast was ok, it’s across the street in the slightly tacky sister hotel but you have to pay extra for espresso-based coffees and I would have liked more fresh fruit. The hotel is very perfumed but luckily that wasn’t the case in my room. My colleague booked a budget room which was in the basement (if you could follow the maze of corridors) and it had a strong sewage smell. The hotel was kind enough to move her to another room. So, all in all I it was a good base for me but for $200/night nothing special at all.
