Stayed here several times. Great location for ease of getting around either by walking as the Thames Path is only 2 mins away, by Train with Tower under ground being just around the corner and by Boat from the Tower of London pier. Hotel has a roof top bar which we did not use this time but have in the past with great views. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and I would particularly like to thank Aridub who today went above and beyond to help resolve a query with our exit bill. Such a gentlemen who took time to sort out an error making sure it was corrected before we left.

“Location,location,location”

This hotel could not be more central for exploring the major attractions. It’s tucked far enough back to be pretty quiet but still has a nice view from the rooftop bar. Reception, concierge, breakfast and housekeeping staff we encountered were incredibly pleasant and helpful. Our room was well appointed and had everything we needed. There is definite room for improvement in the exec lounge. It’s very small and once the allotted supply of something runs out there is no more. I completely understand in the case of wine, beer etc for the evening reception but to be told I couldn’t have milk for a cup of tea as the supply was finished before midday was unacceptable in my opinion.

Stayed for three nights with my family; we had two rooms to accommodate the four of us.  It was an okay experience, but definitely not as good as the Hilton we had come from in a different city.  From the start, the customer service was lacking.  Upon arriving, the rotating front door got stuck and the staff member that assisted us acted as if we were ruining his day.  He was definitely annoyed.  That door got stuck on and off our entire stay, not just with us, but for other customers as well.   At check in, the woman that assisted us was very nice but did not even consider our request for an early check in (we were only a couple hours early) and instead had us drop off our luggage.  The man that we left our luggage with was very annoyed and not very helpful.  We had a lot of luggage (five suitcases), but there was four of us and we had two rooms, so it was expected.   When we did finally get to our rooms, the carpets were very outdated and dirty.   The hallway to our rooms made us feel like we were staying at a 1 star hotel.  The carpet outside the elevators had big stains on it.  It definitely needs replacing.  Other reviews mentioned updates; the updates clearly haven't made it to the third floor yet.  Also, the shower doors were very hard to get completely closed, causing water to get on the floor. A little updating will fix this problem.  The hotel was clean otherwise.   As gold members, we had free breakfast every morning.  No perks or upgrades for gold other than breakfast.  However, the breakfast was very good.  They saved all their good staff members for that because everyone there was very nice and helpful.  The breakfast was also very good! Overall, the hotel was sufficient for what we needed but definitely needs updating.  The location is good.  It is right next to the tube and Tower of London.   Also, make sure to not touch the laundry bag in the room.  We were going to get some laundry done but ended up not having enough time because we had to leave a day early.  The bag was wrinkled (it was a paper bag) because we had put the laundry in it, so we did not hang it back up.  It was in the room, but not back on the hanger.  They charged us 10 pounds for the paper laundry bag!  There should be a sign on the closet door stating that - we would have re-hung the wrinkled bag!   Overall, we would probably not stay there again with the many other choices available, but it was okay.  When all of the updates are completed, it will probably be much better.
