My family and I ( 4 adults) traveled to London, England for the very first time in mid-May, 2024. Because we are Choice Privilege's Diamond Members, I selected this hotel for 5 nights and was able to use points. It turned out to be a very wise decision for many reasons. We flew into London Gatwick airport and took the Gatwick Express train directly to Victoria Station. Once we left the station, which was easy to navigate, it was less than a five minute walk to the hotel. I am fully aware that the hotels in London are smaller than those in the United States. However, this hotel has a great deal going for it. The building is very quaint, and Stanley, who checked us in, was extremely helpful in offering recommendations and directions. He definitely enjoys his job and is an excellent representative for Choice brands. We thank him for making our trip that much better. Our room was a family room and was somewhat small. However, the beds were comfortable for 4 adults. As far as recommendations, one would be adding some additional storage on the wall while a second would be to say it would be nice having a small in-room refrigerator. Overall, we were perfectly content with our accommodations and the room was clean and serviced each day. We had breakfast included each day and it was quite good. The young lady who ran this area did a very nice job as well. We had no issues at all finding something to eat as pancakes, eggs, yogurt, cereals, donuts, and deli items were available the length of our stay. The location is excellent. It was a 15 minute walk to Buckingham Palace and less than a 20 minute walk to Westminster Abbey. I took advantage of that and visited each day we were there. There was never a time we felt unsafe, as the proximity to Buckingham Palace is helpful in that regard. In addition to the Underground and train station, Victoria Station contains shopping and restaurants, including American restaurants, and was an easy option if you desired something quick to eat. The Underground is easy to maneuver and was how we traveled to various locations for sightseeing. I asked many workers questions so I would make sure not to take the wrong line, and everyone I encountered was most helpful. Additionally, one of our tours left from Victoria Coach Station. I was pleased that it was just a block down the street from the train station, only five-six minutes from the hotel. I would like to return to London once more in the not-to-distant ant future. If I do, the Comfort Inn will definitely be the first option on my list. With good service, a friendly staff, a fine breakfast, close proximity to both the Underground and Buckingham Palace, it is a fine choice for anyone.
