“good location, adequate hotel”
This hotel was good enough. In fact, we were surprised to find a hotel so close to a main line station at this price point. This hotel was good enough. In fact, we were surprised to find a hotel so close to a main line station at this price point. Short walk down a quiet street, away from the hurley-burley of King's Cross ? St. Pancras. A series of row houses. One of them with the familiar Comfort Inn sign. Step inside and we were at the check in desk. Friendly, if overworked, staff checked us in. They had a room ready for us that was up several flights of stairs, though we had asked specifically not to have many stairs to climb. A replacement was found. Ground floor. Rather stuffy. No air conditioning. But for the price, and in that location. . . All the requirements for a hotel room were there and functional, though in a rather cramped space. Maps at the front desk, happy to look after our suitcases before we left. Always friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included. Not very pleasant. Lots of foods in plastic bags. Not always clear if the taste would be improved by leaving the wrapper on. Too many people in too small a space. A basement area, little fresh air. Piles of dishes on tables waiting to be cleared. Felt like they were understaffed. We avoided breakfast on the second day and ate at one of the many cafes in the area. Price and location were good. Everything else was good enough.

I stayed here for one night whilst on business in London. The hotel itself is okay for the price. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped having just been refurbished by the look of things. It would not suit me for a longer stay as the rooms, (my room anyway), are just too small and claustrophobic. Breakfast is definitely nothing to shout about. I sat down with a cup of coffee whilst I watched people pick meat up with their hands and put it back (the other guests that is, NOT the staff), so that put me right off. Overall, I had a comfortable night's sleep and the staff I met were friendly. The hotel is very convenient for Kings Cross station. I wouls come here again but not for more than one night
