“Lovely stay, beautiful room”

We had a lovely stay, we were up graded on arrival by a lovely and funny receptionist. our room was lush, massive and very clean, shower was amazing, beds were very comfy, I don’t have one complaint about this hotel we throughly enjoyed our stay..

We’ve always had a wonderful experience at the Clayton Chiswick. Whenever we are in London its worth going west to stay at this hotel, the location on Chiswick High Road with great pubs, cafes and shops with its laid back London feel. As regards to the location, effortless bus stops are right outside the hotel or an easy 5 minutes’ walk to Gunnersbury tube station means you are handy for Ealing, Kew/Richmond and central London within 20 minutes, plus you are a walk away from Strand on the green with riverside pubs and cafes. The executive king rooms at the front of the hotels are very spacious and clean with the beds being very comfortable, with walk in shower and separate bath. If you include breakfast in your stay the choice is excellent and plentiful with everything you could want and ask for .. you want fresh fried eggs or an omelette - no problem! What always makes us return is the service from the hotels friendly and courteous staff, they repeatedly make you feel welcome and are always smiling... nothing seems too much trouble. We would particularly like to thank Lawrence (Food & Bar supervisor) for many years of outstanding service, he is always the perfect host and plus a special mention too for Jesica (front of office) on reception. It’s our gem of a hotel.

“Loved it. So close to being an 'Excellent'”

All-in-all a really good stay and a great place. Difficult to fault. Firstly, great and easy parking if you drive into town. All-in-all a really good stay and a great place. Difficult to fault. Firstly, great and easy parking if you drive into town. We wanted the flexibility of the car and it was so easy i.e. short distance off the M4 and then a simple (and secure) car park. No concerns about leaving the car there. Reception was a bit odd. They've got massive computer screens - and you actually struggled to see the person behind the screen. Just felt strange (and had to keep leaning around). The lady on reception didn't seem the happiest on the planet TBH. ...but boy...what a massive room. Honestly, we were stunned! Maybe we've spent too much time in Premier Inns - and other more modern hotels that cram rooms in. It really was a joy to have such a large room and equally large bathroom. Even more amazing was the south facing view onto the flightpath into Heathrow - so could lie on the bed and watch the planes go in. (Looking on an app and seeing where they had come from. Ok, so maybe a bit sad but...). Just to add the rooms were really quiet - despite the main road location (and the planes). Loads of sockets. No hunting around or sharing the one socked for the two phone chargers. Paintwork was a bit knocked and chipped. Carpet a bit stained (with tea or coffee) and I found the shower head pathetically small. Maybe it was just my room (reading other reviews). But was smaller than a watering-can 'rose'. Couldn't get the water much more above warm either. But great location....and those rooms. Think we'll be back.

“Great location disappointed with room allocated & breakfast service”

We are big fans of this hotel and have stayed on numerous occasions yet on this visit witnessed service at breakfast has slipped and the room allocated was very small the first time this has happened to us on our stay . Our room was on 1st floor really small with at least a third of the room cut out to accommodate the hotels foyer below which is noisy as taxis come and go and guests use the area for smoking !! We were not impressed . The hotel itself is lovely the location just off the M4 great and Gunnersbury station down the road all as always fantastic. The gentleman serving coffee in the hotel bar is first class and delivers exceptional customer service. The lady who checked us in was quite blunt to us and not welcoming not a great feeling to our start maybe this is why we were allocated such an aweful room - we have found the reception staff fantastic previously and mentioned to duty manager so not sure why this has slipped . Breakfast at 9am Tuesday morning was chaotic and really poor , plates and dishes left on majority of tables , basic breakfast items low or not available eg orange juice I had to ask for and wait , eggs we had to wait , honestly it was terrible and not what we normally expect or see , not sure why this has slipped . Overall this stay was disappointing for us like I said earlier we are fans of this hotel and have recommended to friends and family so we’re a bit shocked to see it go downhill so much .
