Luxury hotel experience - great service and great location. Beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds and lounge spaces. I stayed one night last year in October when I had a gap between a couple of hotels while I was in Edinburgh. I randomly chose this as one of the Marriott hotels to use points with. I ended up having one of the best experiences at a hotel I’ve had in a long time and I travel every week for work. I enjoyed it so much that I decided I would come back for Christmas and Hogmanay and stay a few nights at this hotel. I don’t regret it and in fact, it’s gonna be on my list of hotels to stay out again when I come back to Edinburgh. There are many nice options to stay at in Edinburgh, although this one is my favorite.

The staff here are excellent, very attentive and made our stay a super experience. We stayed at this exact hotel 17 years prior when we got engaged and then year later prior to the birth of our first child. The lady on the desk asked which room we had stayed in. On the way up she gave us a full tour, as the hotel had changed somewhat. When we were shown to our room it was the one we had stayed in prior to our daughters arrival, a lovely touch and made it even more special. The rooms was magnificent with a lovely balcony overlooking Edinburgh and views of leith. The bathroom was very spacious, the beds extremely comfy and a lovely seating area. There is a lovely bar with a fire and all areas of the hotel are extremely clean. Lovely also to have a 12 noon checkout which allowed us to do some more sightseeing before checking out. Hotel is very central and right next door to the Playhoues theatre. However the rooms.are still very quiet. Breakfast was super and we were served by a lady who was training and she was super and very attentive. All staff made the stay a pleasure and got to know us. Will definitely not leave it so long to visit again. Highly recommend.

“Incredible staff”

The staff was incredible and the true highlight of our experience! The hotel is a bit dated in terms of decor and the rooms are a bit worn; that being said it was impeccably clean with nice Elemis products. The food was great and the central location cannot be beat.

I stayed for a week at the Glasshouse hotel over Christmas and had a very lovely stay. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Big shout out to David, the porter on duty. Such a lovely man, always caring for guests. He constantly went out of his way to make sure myself and my daughters were taken care of whether it was the marshmallows for the girls, restaurant reservations or guiding us on local tours. He even helped relocate the Elf on the shelf when we moved rooms. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Edinburgh.
