“Wonderful stay”

We are visiting feom Mexico and we were pleased with the hotel. Excellent location. The staff was very attentive. And great Restaurant recomendaciones. Jonathan the concierge was the best! We wull come back soon. We love Edimburg! Its very pretty and elegant. Great tours around the city!

My daughter and I stayed at The Glasshouse for 7 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was the perfect size for us and we really enjoyed the view through the full glass windows looking out on the city. The bathroom was nice and I especially liked that it had a separate shower and I didn't have to climb into the tub to just take a shower, since I have mobility issues. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I loved the location backing up to Calton Hill and the rooftop garden was a lovely oasis! We ate dinner in the Snug our first night because we were so tired from our international flight and it was on the same floor as our room. Very convenient and the food was excellent! I cannot say enough nice things about the staff. The concierge, the lobby reception desk staff, the staff in the Snug and the housekeeping staff were all so nice. We absolutely adored coming back to the lobby each day and smelling the scent of Christmas! It was like coming home. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We spent three very comfortable nights at The Glasshouse. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Large and comfortable room. Excellent and helpful staff. We'd like to make a special mention of staff member Monday who was the most helpful, considerate and professional man to be found. Breakfast each morning was delicious and nothing too much trouble. The only drawback was the meal served as room service. (only had one of those.) Unfortunately, the lettuce was limp and browned at the edges, the fish greasy and the bean ends browned. Having stayed previously I was excited to stay again unfortunately I was underwhelmed the staff were not as friendly as last time our room wasn’t ready until after 4.30 which is ridiculous we were only staying 1 night and for over £600 for a night this is not really acceptable. The room was quite clean but a cleaning cloth had been left and there was a hair bobble on the floor as well the furniture on the terrace could do with a good clean as well. It’s a shame because the location is great but I might look at other options next time.
