“STUNNING”

Absolutely stunning hotel in centre of Glasgow. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are so comfy. The staff are so friendly & helpful. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice & all very fresh. Location was good short walk from Glasgow Central train station.

You can't get any more prime and convenience on the location of this hotel. All forms of public transportation are at its front door step. And when you step out, you get the majestic view of the Oldtown. The service is excellent from the registration process to the Twenty Princes Street restaurant wait staff, particularly, Mohammed, Carlita, Vanessa and Enrique and the others were very friendly and efficient in providing our dining needs. We chose the breakfast option, and it was adequate. You get a choice of hot and freshly cooked items from the menu listing, as well as, additional all you can eat continental breakfast items on the table enough to fill you up for dinner. But the dinner entrees where delicious and good variety to choose from. The room is rather small but the bathroom was large enough and is very spic and span sanitized and very modern. The bed top cushion is very comfortable and about the size of a queen size bed in U.S. standards we're used to.

An oasis of tranquility amid the hustle-bustle of Waverley and Princes Street, this is a beautifully finished hotel in an historic building. Staff were unfailingly helpful, approachable, and personable. As is unavoidable with an older building sensitively retrofitted, some areas can feel a little cozy - such as the stairs and corridor to our room overlooking Princes Street. The room itself was well furnished, the bathroom spacious and spotlessly clean. A welcome selection of included snacks gave us shortbread to have with our tea or coffee in room, or perhaps chocolate and crisps because there’s no one to judge! Blackout curtains did a good job shutting out the twilight which lasts into the wee hours. Bed linens were of excellent quality and we slept very well. We enjoyed expertly crafted cocktails in the Juniper bar on our first night, and had possibly the best breakfast ever in a Hotel in the attached Twenty Restaurant. For what we thought was a very reasonable add-on charge we had our choice of pastries, fruit, cold meats and cheeses, yogurt/parfaits, muesli- and a choice from a range of cooked to order hot items. For the first morning I had the Full Scottish Breakfast, my wife had the vegetarian version. Don’t tell the butcher under our flat, but this was some of the finest Haggis and Black pudding I’ve tasted, perfectly cooked. For our second day we both had Benedicts, and again both ingredients and preparation were excellent. Two advisory notes: 1 - you may find yourself on a floor not served by an elevator, in which be prepared to haul your cases or let the porter take them to the room for you. 2 - Princes Street on a Friday or Saturday night is a boisterous place. The “Boullie Cruisers” will drive through the bus stops revving the nuts off their connecting rods, eliciting pops and bangs of backfires from their cars while lads watch on and video the proceedings. They eventually quiet down, but drunken revelers noisily wait for buses until 3 or 4 in the morning. Didn’t really bother our sleep, but just something to be aware of. We loved our stay and look forward to returning.

This hotel, it was wonderful. The staff it was very friendly, the character of the hotel very traditional. Perfect location. Fantastic dining room. Very clean rooms. Fantastic live music at the bar with a epic cocktails. Thank you for everything Indigo princess street. See you next time.
