Great for a night stay but feel that I would not to stay for too many nights. Quality of food was good but if you were staying on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast deal as I was then you were handed a separate menu with a poor selection. If you wanted items from the main menu then then you paid extra based on cost. If you used their DB&B menu then I was not convinced you got value. Would have preferred to have been presented with the main menu with a few items marked as having to pay a supplement. Overall though. the hotel is pretty central to Scotland a a great place if you are visiting and want to explore most of Scotland while on holiday. Needs a few more whiskies to choose from in the bar.

My husband and I received an itison voucher for Christmas for afternoon tea , the service we received was great the tea itself however was nice until another couple had their I’m assuming non itison afternoon tea delivered to their table,. Compared to theirs ours was somewhat lacking savoury items. We had 3 finger sandwiches which I admit were tasty however the others had mini burgers and sausage rolls too. I assumed that whilst the price was reduced probably due to a slower time of year the content would be the same(we have had quite a few afternoon teas and I can honestly say this was the most lacking) I reiterate what we had was nice and strawberry tarts were amazing however this has soured any chance of a revisit

“Lovely staff, beautiful surroundings”

Stayed in the hotel as a voucher deal. Firstly I thought this hotel was the same one I stayed in previously (the Hampden by Hilton right in the centre) but it wasn’t. It was out the way and there was no shuttle service running so you have to get a taxi into the town which wasn’t ideal however the hotel staff certainly made up for it. We were in the hotel as a dinner b&b deal. The first night was pouring with rain, we were sat out in the conservatory area but it was leaking through and dripping on us. The manager sorted us out with a move very quickly with no issues. There were 3 different menus with plenty of food to choose from. The staff were helpful and informed us about the various options available to us. The food was beautiful and plentiful. A special shout out to Aliviah and to the chef for making the sticky toffee pudding with an anniversary twist for my parents anniversary. And we were grateful for the complimentary Prosecco, a nice wee touch. Aliviah was the most amazing waitress ever, she was kind, friendly, helpful and certainly made our wee break. A gem of a lady. The room was nice and had enough space, cleaned regularly. My parents used the swimming pool and were happy with the facilities. Overall a lovely stay and the establishment should be very proud of the hospitality of their staff.

My partner brought me here as a surprise two days away. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. However, our king size bed split into two single beds after the first night and became uncomfortable. I found the staff here to be very polite and helpful at all times and enjoyed a swim in the pool, although the pool is extremely small for the amount of guests. We got a 3 course dinner with our stay and found the food standard overall disappointing. At breakfast the buffet food was not pleasant and had obviously been sitting a while. Perhaps this should be cooked on level of people dining or just separate orders taken to ensure quality and freshness. Dinner was presented beautifully, however the salad for starter was bland and the main course of chicken with fondue potato was awful. The potato was solid and hard unlike the traditional fondue potato. Furthermore, the chicken was dry and hard. It was such a shame as it looked lovely visually. I really enjoyed my dessert of sticky toffee pudding, however my partner thought the brownie was solid and the ice cream was still well, ice and full of crystals. If these issues were fixed I would return to this hotel. I hope the comments I’ve made are taken on board as this hotel is lovely.
