Second stay here and have no negatives. Straight forward from the start, easy car parking and easy access to hotel. Welcoming and quick check in. Great room for price, spotlessly clean. Some roadworks going on but Bex sorted out our taxi last night and she was so lovely and friendly. Breakfast is great, plenty of choice, full breakfast, croissants, fruit, cereal and more and you can even make your own waffles. Thanks to all your staff for a lovely stay and we’ll definitely be returning ☺️

“All about the staff”

So, this is as bog standard a Hampton as you will find. Feels like an 80s building with a light refresh about 15 years ago. So, this is as bog standard a Hampton as you will find. Feels like an 80s building with a light refresh about 15 years ago. My sheets were lightly stained when I checked in, but the hotel was generally clean and convenient. As long as we are listing negatives: it's a bit of an uphill haul to restaurants and services in center city (but not bad). The walls are paper thin, and when doors close the walls rattle--and the headboard with them. Bring earplugs unless you sleep like the dead. Not sounding like a five star review? Well: the bed was comfortable enough, and the shower had good water pressure. The hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. These are things that matter to me. But on a couple week stay, the staff--really across the board--were incredibly friendly and professional. I dragged in in the evening after planes, trains, and automobiles in three countries and a distinct lack of sleep. The front desk clerk smiled and greeted me and was, well, just super-friendly and welcoming. Brightened my day. Even if she had been the only person who interacted this way, it would have made my stay immeasurably better, but *every* person I spoke with during my stay, from a manager to the housekeeping staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. You might, like me, expect this of a hotel. But it is rare to find it so universal across a staff. I have stayed in some fairly lux hotels, and the most recent stay close to this one was at a London hotel that cost quite a bit more than 10x the Hampton, and the service didn't even come close. Whoever is hiring and training the staff at this hotel is doing an outstanding job, and whatever they are paying them is is insufficient. Hilton should send managers from their other hotels to learn what this one is doing right.

Although we prefer much apartments to hotels, this is most conveniently located for the restaurant we visit. It provides a standard Hampton briskly professional service, with parking, prompt check-in, bar and buffet breakfast included. Rooms (well the ones we have stayed in) are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It's a pleasant, functional experience and reasonable value for money.
