We stayed here as part of the Leeds team during the 2024 British Transplant Games. The hotel is well equipped and the food is very good. The spa area was clean and well maintained. The main thing to write about here though is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Every single member of staff was friendly, helpful and had a proactive attitude in making sure guests were looked after well. Big shout out to Emma and H in the breakfast room though who were absolutely lovely. The staff are a huge credit to this place. The rooms felt spacious and the bathroom was lovely. Good water pressure and lovely complimentary shower gel etc The only downside I found was the Aircon in the rooms which didn't work at all in many rooms or was noisy and inadequate in others. Also the bed was a bit on the soft side. Overall I'd still stay here again and I would recommend to others.

Arrived on the 30th for 2 nights.walked in and was pleased with the apprearance and the aroma was lovely . Check in was good and pleasant was given room 306 nice room bed very comfortable pillows ok (not the best).Towels were nice and big and soft as were the flannels. It was nice to walk into the room and see that the floor fan had been left on to keep the room cool as it was a hot day.nice powerful shower,plenty of hot water. Next day we checked into room 236 which is a suite, well where to start, no mattress protector or pillow protector on bed ,pillows were thin and lumpy,No bathrobes (should have been some as they are included in the suite) No flannels either so explained what was missing to the housekeeping lady who was in the corridor making up rooms and she said she would get it sorted well an hour and a half later still nothing happened so I went down to reception to speak to them only to be told Housekeeping had finished for the day,but the reseptionist would look into it, never heard anything back so later that evening I went back to reseptionist and she said she could not find anythink and was sorry so for the money I paid for a suite £175.00 compared to the basic £129.00 room I know which room I would choose. The bed in room 306 was very comfortable and I had a good night sleep but the bed in 236 was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs through the mattress which one of them was right on my hip .The breakfast was good with plenty of choice .The lifts smelt horrible and there was crockery and dishes ,delivery bags left in the corridor all night which made the corridor smell horrendous.

We stayed for one night in the Cook Suite (Family of 4). Positive experience was the front desk staff are friendly and professional, the lobby area was spacious and clean. Walking towards the Suite rooms you get a budget hotel feeling or even worse. When we arrived in the Suite it was clean, credit to Vaida who cleaned our room, however this is where the positive experience ends. The door to the sitting area was missing and you could see where the hinges were, in the event you want to make this an open space are it could be worth refurbishing the door frame rather than leaving it the way it is. As we walked into the mai sleeping area , by the curtains there was a massive old stain on the carpet which then makes you question what else is on that carpet that we cannot see. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I have had a better night sleep in budget hotels . The bathroom was clean however once again there was very old brown stained grout/ sealant under the door of the shower cubicle. We have stayed at other Belfry Hotels, this is definitely the worst of all. It could be worth having hospitality management inspecting these rooms and surely before big hospitality brands associate their brands with properties they need to inspect the properties THOROUGHLY. To those considering booking it could be worth exploring other options, for the true Belfry experience it's probably worth driving an extra 40 mins to the Belfry Golf Resort in Staffordshire. The property has great potential, however as it is at the moment the price tag does not reflect the standards.
