The good: staff was exceptional. From the front desk to the restaurant, all were exceedingly accommodating and pleasant throughout. Very nicely equipped gym with machines, free weights, and functional equipment. The bad: the room did not reflect the modernized furnishings depicted on the website. The furnishings were clean and functional, but dated and not up to the Hilton standard. Bathroom was well-equipped for its day, but tiles were separating from grout and some shower functions did not work. Ceilings were low throughout the halls and guest rooms, and the building is adjacent to the motorway, so some rooms will have traffic noise. Heating system kept turning off automatically so the room was chilly when I returned at the end of the day. If you stay, request a room with updated furnishings, and which doesn't face the motorway, and you'll likely be satisfied. Price was reasonable.

“Average Stay”

Comfortable room, slow service at reception and breakfast but staff helpful and friendly, overall not to bad. Wouldn’t rush to come back but if I needed to stay in the area would consider as good value at present

Stayed here for one night on December 5th, may as well have slept on the motorway it would have been quieter......we had 2 rooms son and daughters standard room was fine, clean and presentable, bit tight in the milk and tea etc but otherwise ok. Stayed here for one night on December 5th, may as well have slept on the motorway it would have been quieter......we had 2 rooms son and daughters standard room was fine, clean and presentable, bit tight in the milk and tea etc but otherwise ok. We then had our room, not only was it almost an hour late on being ready but it was round other side of hotel....ROOM 449 omg!!!!! It genuinly sounded like we had turbo jets taking off and landing anove us, the noise was so bad I literally did not get any sleep. Contacted reception to see what it was or if it would stop... this was at 12:30am as I had had enough and was shattered 🤦‍♀️ the receptionist response was “oh it might stop at sometime, but see what happens and if no better in an hour we can see if we can move you to another room....what at 1:30am in the bloody morning!!!!!!! Not exactly pristine condition but was clean, air con warmed up the seating area of the room and not the part the bed was in, but fine otherwise. Breakfast was table served buffet, we asked for full breakfast although I must have missed the part were I said it had to be cold 🤦‍♀️. Usual stays in Hilton hotels have been fine but will give this one a miss in future, annoyingly most of the stuff was blamed on covid 😡😡😡😡
