“All in all a great hotel”

“Weekend Trip”

We stayed in room 69 which at first was hard to find but it was spacious, had a wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps, a lovely arm chair, kettle and tea/coffee facilities. We stayed in room 69 which at first was hard to find but it was spacious, had a wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps, a lovely arm chair, kettle and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was on the small side but had a shower over a bath, it was adequate enough. We had a note to say that the room would not be serviced during our stay which was only two nights so that was perfectly fine for us. The bed was ok, two single beds pushed together with a full queen sized mattress on the top. It was quite a firm sleep but was ok. Pillows were comfortable. We kept the curtains closed as our room looked out over a seating patio area (not that it was used) but plenty of light if you had them open. The bar area was nice and spacious, and every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant onsite but we didn't use it so cannot comment on this but it looked spacious again. We saw a buffet style breakfast set up. My only criticism was the floorboards creaked everywhere, as soon as you go up the stairs in the corridor they start. It didn't detract from our stay, just annoying at times! The hotel is brilliantly located for the town and the beach/pier area. About a 5 minute walk from the hotel (just up the hill from the hotel is the left turn for the parking) and at current time (Nov) was approx £6 per 24hr period but it is more during peak hours. The hotel charges £25 per night, valet parking. The town was about a 10-15minute walk away for the bars and shops. The beach is about a 10 minute walk left out of the hotel and down the hill. Lots to do within a short distance travelled. Will definitely choose this hotel again if we are in the area.

“Enjoyed my stay ”

First, entering the hotel, we were greeted by Dave, and he was amazing he took us to our room, answered any questions we had, and was just brilliant. First, entering the hotel, we were greeted by Dave, and he was amazing he took us to our room, answered any questions we had, and was just brilliant. At this point, we had only booked for 1 night and then changed our minds and wanted to stay longer. Which Dave sorted for us once we had had a walk around. We got put straight into a Seaview room, which was brilliant. Once again Dave took us and carried our bags for us... Went down to the bar and enjoyed some great music. I did realise I had left something in the room we was originally in the next morning, but when asked reception, they said sorry we don't keep anything it's thrown away. I thought it's still earlier surly they wouldn't have just thrown it. But apparently, they did, so just remember, NEVER leave anything behind.... The Seaview room was amazing. But the sink didn't have any hot water ... the shower did take a while to warm up, and the room was really cold luckly they had a spare duvet so had to use that. The heating only comes on late evening, and the heater just made this strange sound all night. The food was amazing there.... they do a buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal which both times we went was really nice. The staff in the restaurant are really nice and helpful... The hotel was having a makeover and rooms redone, and tbh I would go back and stay there again next year as I still enjoyed it, n it's so close to the pier itself. I do want to thank Dave he is absolutely amazing at his job 🌟

“Rooms refurbished, however same awful food.”

I went on a coach tour and stayed at this hotel My room had been recently refurbished and was very good. The bed was comfortable and it was warm and no draughts. It did tend to be a bit noisy at times due to my bedroom overlooking the car park, however I did have a lovely sea view.My room was taste… more

I went on a coach tour and stayed at this hotel My room had been recently refurbished and was very good. The bed was comfortable and it was warm and no draughts. It did tend to be a bit noisy at times due to my bedroom overlooking the car park, however I did have a lovely sea view.My room was tastefully decorated and I was pleased that the room was only going to be cleaned at the end of my 6 night's stay. The bathroom had a lovely shower and bath in it, however no mat was supplied for me to stand on when I got out of it, only the non slip mat for in the bath. I had to use a hand towel. I was on half board, however I didn't like any of the food. The meals were never hot and were reminiscent of school dinners! On my last night, I ate out and on the morning of my departure I totally skipped breakfast. I was also unhappy that WiFi was charged extra in your rooms! I( spent most early mornings and evenings sat at the top of the stairs so that I could use free WiFi.
