I booked the spa as it looked really lovely on website We arrived early and there wasn’t anyone who checked us in or gave directions on what to do . we did take towel and went to pool and Sauna by ourselves . When we made our way back to the spa room the ladies were they to take us to the massage room , they were extremely professional and friendly the massage Hot stone 55 min was amazing felt so relaxed afterward great experience! T Amy was really great. Thank you

“Great Hotel Voucher Deal, but the Spa is badly managed”

We stayed on a Secret Escapes Voucher deal which included Breakfast, 3 course dinner, bottle of wine in the room and access to the Spa. We stayed on a Secret Escapes Voucher deal which included Breakfast, 3 course dinner, bottle of wine in the room and access to the Spa. Our room was presentable, clean and located on the 3rd floor at the back, facing the back of the neighbouring Heathlands Hotel which on the Sat night hosted a wedding with a disco all night, so not much sleep. So advise on getting a front facing room. The lift serving the upper floors is inadequate for the job, supposedly certificated for 8 persons, but realistically only suitable for 5. Breakfast is very good, however the vouchered 3 course dinner was very basic and repeated every night. The biggest problem is the Spa and the Pool/Jacuzzi is completely unsupervised and out of control. There are signs over the jacuzzi limiting guests to 15mins to enable other guests to have access, but we had people hogging it for an hour and repeatedly bashing the air bubbles button, and thus eventually breaking it. Staff also supplied guests with alcoholic drinks in the jacuzzi which simply made matters worse. If the Hotel is busy, this Spa CAN NOT cope, and seriously needs to consider bookings for the Pool/Jacuzzi and Sauna.

I am writing this on behalf of my mother-in law, who has just returned from a holiday to this hotel. She was frustrated on arrival, as although her actual room was ok (and had a balcony) it was difficult for her and her friend to access as there was stairs after they had got out of the lift. They are both in their late 80's, and her friend has mobility problems. Unfortunately, despite asking to change rooms this was not possible due to it being fully booked. Also, there were no porters available to take their luggage to the room, which meant that my mother- in law had to struggle with their cases, as her friend uses a stick. She said that the food was disappointing. On their first evening there was no choice on the menu, and very limited choice on the other 3 nights. At breakfast the items which should have been hot were barely warm. As she doesn't eat cereal, she had yoghurt and fruit every morning. On the last evening, they were asked to put their cases in the corridor for 6am. When they went down for breakfast at 7.45am their cases were still there. Another person on their coach offered to take their cases downstairs.
