Stayed in an accessible room with twin profiling beds (my partner is disabled). They were the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. My partner had a bit of trouble with the grabrail next to the toilet being very wobbley so we reported to reception before retiring for the night and it was fixed the following day. Excellent service. We found all the staff we encountered absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble for them. This hotel has dog friendly rooms and we encountered some lovely dogs with equally lovely owners. There are restrictions on where the dogs can go which is fair enough as not everyone is a dog lover. My partner did not use the Changing Places facility offered to disabled guests but I had a look at it and it was amazing. It has state of the art facilities for disabled people and I understand it is quite new. It is worth looking at the pictures of this on the hotel website, especially if your mobility is such that you cannot use the shower and commode shower chair in your accessible room. Our parking space was reserved for us, which is a service provided if you have a blue badge, although entering the carpark there seemed to be many spaces available just for normal parking. We had meals in the Retreat each evening which were absolutely delicious. We were able to reserve a table in the snug area, which was ideal because I have to feed my partner as he cannot hold cutlery. This made me comfortable knowing I could have a table with enough space for wheelchair and me to sit beside him. It is nice not to stress about whether I could get a decent table. I really felt that the staff were more than happy to help in whatever way they could which made for a comfortable atmosphere in the hotel. Some residents I encountered were regular guests and I can understand why.

We didn’t actually stay in the Marsham but we booked a room (non-refundable) on Booking.com under the impression they had a swimming pool. When we arrived we discovered their pool was under maintenance for 3 days. We decided we wanted to book into a different hotel that did have a working pool and the receptionist was very helpful and understanding and immediately arranged a refund for us including the parking fee. Hotel and room looked very nice and would definitely stay here another time when their pool is up and running.

We had a lovely room with a sea view, looking over the top of the Russell Coates art gallery (highly recommended), and a nice stay for 5 days. The weather was VERY blustery and so the windows leaked and whistled very very slightly, no heating meant the room was a little tiny bit cool but not cold. We were surprised to find that to eat in the restaurant meant that you had to book a 3 course meal which we did not find mentioned on the website, so we ate only once in the bar due to the limited vegetarian offerings that were to our taste. The hotel is VERY well situated just up the cliff from the Pier and the lower Bournemouth gardens, the oceanarium, the wheel and the upside down house (don't bother its not worth it). We parked our car in the hotel car park and went on foot for the rest of the week. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the breakfast did not include decent vegan/vegetarian sausages/bacon. There are MANY different brands on the market which are really good, but the sausages they offered were the very old style from the 70s just made of vegetables ... very poor, very disappointing. The service at breakfast is very good otherwise. Overall we would recommend the hotel.
