4 stars given for value and friendly staff. As per other reviews, standard student dorm, with en-suite. Positives Great value compared with Belfast centre hotels Warm welcome from staff on reception, especially chap on nights. Breakfast included Fast WiFi To be aware of: Not the most central of places, nearest buses no not run sundays so there is a 15 or so minute walk to the next bus route/ station. Expected slamming doors and other associated noise. No idea how students sleep, thats if they do Shower is tiny, can barely reach your feet lol. Breakfast was ok, a bit hit and miss though, no hot drinks, fruit, yoghurt on second day. Environments were quiet. Mattress hard as wood

“Magpie s all around ”

Been here recently plague of magpies coming in kitchen windows and birds poop a bit scary 😐😐can someone please sort this out is it safe??? Has health and safety been made aware they’re in bins and all over🤭🤭

A very reasonably priced room at Belfast prices (generally extortionate) but you get what you pay for. This is student accommodation, back to basics. Breeze block walls gaily painted will bring out the nostalgia in any recent graduates who are still on a budget due to student loans. The single bed is extremely compact and uncomfortable, a mattress topper would be a top tip. The bathroom has been designed for emaciated students and the wraparound shower curtain detects any whiff of obesity. The electronic lock on the room door takes a degree of understanding to ensure it is locked especially when you are inside. There are no room-safes so ensuring the door is locked is probably the best policy. There is no TV in the room because students obviously have to pay a licence fee whereas in a normal hotel they wouldn't. Parking is available at a daily nominal rate which is not included in the room-rate. There is no A/C and in some rooms the heating is mandatory due to poor maintenance. Ventilation is via the window which can be open or closed. Noise levels can be high at times. There are no lifts in the buildings so ask for a ground floor if you can't do the stairs. Shared kitchens are reasonable with plenty of fridge space. Breakfast was a bit of an institutional affair. Food was served and the quality was fair. Special requests were a no-no (eggs - scrambled only) and the tea/coffee could be later than the food. Staff were a mixed bag, some good, but there was a tendency to treat guests as students. It seemed that your mistake is your tragedy, ours is fortunately a simple misunderstanding. I saved a lot of cash during my visit but I did leave before my end of term.

Check in went well. The room was as expected, a dorm room. Simple bed and plenty of space. Shower was a bit on the smaller side so keep that in mind if you are over 6 feet tall. Check in went well. The room was as expected, a dorm room. Simple bed and plenty of space. Shower was a bit on the smaller side so keep that in mind if you are over 6 feet tall. Breakfast was pretty decent and it’s included with your stay. There is also a common area which is kept clean and tidy. It is off the beaten path and a good 30 min walk from the city center but it is also close to Queen’s University and the Ulster Museum.
