I recently attended a charity gala ball with work colleagues. A* Would highly recommend for an event. The set up of the suite was fantastic and the layout and use of space was so lovely, it was clear a lot of thought and organisation was put into setting it all up. The Manager Callum, stood out and deserves a mention, he was clearly very competent at his job and very attentive to both his team of staff, the guests and to ensuring everything was running smoothly. The service for such a large crowd was outstanding, staff were all very helpful and doing a great job to ensure everyone had all they required. The food was tasty and good portions served.

Having visited Hastings Properties several times over the years I rate them on 3 main criteria: 1) Customer Service 2) Attention to detail 3) Perceived value for money 1) Customer Service I have always rated this category as high and the hotel has prided itself accordingly, and charged guests so. Our experience this time was mixed. We will always look to support new staff, but we found a mixed experience in knowledge and expertise amongst the piano lounge team. We wish the new team members the very best but hope they get the grounding they need to cater, for example, to an expectant international clientele. The breakfast team were friendly but I would have to say the layout and offering for an International clientele was ok, not VIP, as the hotel intends to position itself. We could see the breakfast team work hard so our thanks to them for looking after us. 2) Attention to detail We stayed in Room #534. We found grime and mould around the shower cubicle tiles and shower door in particular. The shower floor was slippy and we had to request a non-slip mat as I lost my footing in the cubicle on Day 1. The extractor fan in the bathroom had visible dust and the sink cold tap was very noisy so not great at night. The fire alarm top was dusty too. All items reported to the front desk for maintenance review. 3) Perceived value for money We provided feedback to Carlie on the front desk ahead of departure and I have to commend her professionalism and mature understanding and approach to resolution in the circumstances, hence the overall 4 rating. Carlie should be recognised for the asset she is to the brand and wish her the best in her career. Our thanks also to Erin on Reception and to John and colleagues on Concierge desk for their help with luggage and taxi arrangements. In summary, I deliberately chose the Europa based on previous positive experiences. It felt in some ways as a Customer, perhaps with the introduction of a new property nearby to the group that the deployment of personnel may be challenging and may have impacted our experience this time?. I would not want this to be my last Europa experience, so I really hope to return one day and see the hotel continue to thrive. Our very best wishes to the Team and it’s great to see the City welcome so many International guests, embracing a giant spirit.

“Wedding anniversary break”

Wine dine and breakfast deal good value for money. Only negative room window left open b4 we checked in it being oct in Belfast room was cold and took hours to heat up. Plus bathroom was chilly the whole time no heating in it for a 4/5 star hotel in Belfast u expect the bathroom to be warm!
