“Not disappointed”
Family meal for 5, arrived just in time to see sunset from the elevated beer garden overlooking the cricket field. Superb food & drinks at competitive prices ! “Lovely meal in a gorgeous old pub”
The food was delicious and the pub is a lovely building. Two of us had the chakchouka and one had soup and ham-hock. The only slight downside was that the weather had turned coder and the heating was only on low. A roaring fire would have made all the difference!

“Ancient and Brilliant must stay”
Love this place - dating from the reign of Richard II and an important base for the Duke of Monmouth during his rebellion. So for history nuts this is a must.
