I’ve stayed here before. It is well positioned and very convenient for accessing the city centre/forum/baths/abbey etc, being only a 20 minute walk to the centre. It is well up to the usual HIE standard with very pleasant staff. The only downside is the parking. You get a discount code when you check in which reduces the charge from £50 😱😱😱😱 to a still very high £15. Come on IHG, sort this out and provide it for free for guests! I moved on to central London hotels where parking was either free or at max £8 overnight. I strongly suspect the hotel gets a kick back from the parking, so have no incentive to get it reduced

Comfortable 2 night stay. The room was rather hot even with the air con. Breakfast was ok, the hot food wasn't the best. Room was very quiet, beds comfy, and clean. The staff were friendly. Comfortable 2 night stay. The room was rather hot even with the air con. Breakfast was ok, the hot food wasn't the best. Room was very quiet, beds comfy, and clean. The staff were friendly. My negative is i did email twice about my upcoming stay that it was my Mother's birthday,.and I did ask if anything could be done. Whether it was a card to wish happy birthday or even an acknowledgement on arrival. Something. Overall a pleasant stay and would return.

“Sort those breakfasts out!”

I’ve had to stay here a few times now, and although the rooms are ok and comfortable enough they really need to sort a few things out. I’ve had to stay here a few times now, and although the rooms are ok and comfortable enough they really need to sort a few things out. The primary problem is the poor breakfasts; there’s plenty of reviews here all saying the same thing and yet nothing ever changes. Everything is always cold, no matter what time you come down. Cold bacon, Hash Browns, eggs. I feel sorry for those coming from abroad as they sit down to a very poor breakfast, considering the great experiences I’ve had in their countries. The lobby areas are also quite grubby and aren’t cleaned often enough.

I left my older wife at home to face storm Burt as I felt a religious calling to attend Bath and she is diagnostic, The rooms was comfortable,although the aircon is rather nosey. All staff were friendly but breakfast was rather poor and I believe it is an important meal. The bacon was vaporised whereas the hashbrowns and tomatoes didn’t look like they had ever seen the hot side of an oven. The fruit juice would be better described as fruit water and not very good fruit water. This breakfast was a shame as the location and the staff would have otherwise have lead to me revisiting. Sorry to all .
