So me and the girlfriend came here for 3 days and to be honest the hotel is ok the but the front desk staff seem to have issues with the truth we booked in and the desk manager said she was upgrading us to a room with a window when we got to the room we noticed a distinct lack of a window we then discovered that the radiator didn't work which in the evening made the room very cold we made the front desk team aware of it first thing in the morning but they never even tried to fix it I went to the night desk and the gentleman there couldn't have been more helpful and apologetic and quickly got us a space heater for the room so not bad there the pool is great and the staff there are very friendly and incredibly helpful 5 stars for the pool team the food is a joke the breakfast is abysmal everything just swimming in grease if your coming here definitely research your dining options so you don't get lumped with the very poor standard of food that i have had displeasure of eating at this hotel

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel on the 24th June overnight on our way home from the NC500. After reading other reviews, I was apprehensive about staying at this hotel. Me and my partner are frequent visitors to Aviemore but usually camp. On arrival to the hotel, there is ample parking and the outside of the hotel looks inviting. Inside, there is a lounge area with lots of seating options - at check in time this was full of people waiting to be seen by staff. We waiting 15 minutes to be seen, there was one member of staff serving customers - while two other staff members - both dressed in smart causal dress so assuming they are managers - stood stapling keycard holders together, even though the lobby area was full of people waiting to check in. I understand there are tasks which must be done, but a lobby full of customers waiting to be seen should be a priority for a hotel - not stapling pieces of paper which most customers then put in the bin. Our room was dated and rundown, dirty carpets and marked walls. The bathroom was clean enough, and both beds were comfortable and felt clean. It was a warm day, and the hotel seemed to have put the heating on full - luckily the window opened and there was a fan in the hotel room which we had to keep on all night to be able to sleep. There was tea/coffee making facilities, however all the cups were dirty inside. In the morning, my partner was showering and I was sitting on one of the beds - without knocking, a member of cleaning staff burst into the room. I informed them we had not checked out yet, but would be soon. This was at 09.15 and check out was not until 10.00am, the staff member then grunted at me and slammed the door shut. Overall, it was okay for an overnight and the price was okay for Aviemore. Every member of staff we spoke to seemed disgruntled, this is not surprising however if one member of staff is left by the management to check in a large amount of slightly annoyed customers.
