Just returned for the 2nd time for 14 nights at Rixos Bab al bahr. Great flight with Emirates. Arrived at hotel at approx 2am, checked in at Reception and was given room key. Total disappointment. The room was large but the balcony was minute. You would have had a job to get 2 people on it. I had booked and paid for a Premium room with balcony, this certainly wasn't it. I was told at Reception to come back at 4pm the next day and they would see what they could do. They worked their magic and we were given a room (1422) with a large balcony, two sunbeds, and views of the sea. They are doing some huge beach renovations so the beach was not accessible for 11 days of our holiday. This wasn't a problem to us as we're not beach people, we preferred the Adult Infinity pool. But it was a shame as we hadn't heard of this until we arrived. Staff at the Adult pool were excellent. Fresh towels on the sunbeds daily. Music was slightly loud we would have preferred some peace and quiet. Isla bar, staff excellent once again. Abdul was extremely attentative and helpful. We ate in the adult area of the Seven Heights Buffet restaurant. The food was v good with lots of choices. Beef Wellington was lovely. Bryan was there most days and once again was extremely attentative, even though he was kept very busy. He's an asset to the hotel. It would have been nice if that area was a bit quieter, the doors were removed so there was quite a bit of noise at times from the general area. We also ate at the Fish restaurant, thank you Seemab, service was great, and the The Steak restaurant, both meals were very good. Entertainment was a bit samey, but OK. Staff at this hotel are exemplary. The staff make the hotel what it is. Everyone is very polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotless throughout. Our room was cleaned daily to a very high standard. We were frequently told if there's anything you'd like, just ask. Mini bar replenished daily. This is a lovely hotel with exceptional staff from the floor cleaners, to the Chefs, and Managers. This is one of the reasons we returned. We are hoping to return next year. We'll done Rixos, we had a lovely holiday. Thankyou.

Recently returned from a wonderful stay . The hotel is spotless . Amazing food & great selection of drinks . Was a shame that the beach closed , whilst maintenance work is being carried out , but the hotel were very accommodating , by putting on free shuttles , to two of their sister hotels , for use of their beach & food & drinks . Would like to say a special thank you to Bryan & the lovely young girl ( sorry can’t remember name ) from the buffet restaurant , who attended to us each morning at. Breakfast ❤️ Also the concierge , think it was Samur , who was extremely helpful during our stay ❤️ Just to point out … beware of booking this hotel with TUI. No communication from them what so ever! App or manage booking was unavailable the whole duration .

“Great hotel and staff”

We stayed for a week at the Rixos, having previously stayed across the bay at the Doubletree, we were not disappointed with our change of choice. The staff at this hotel are what make it amazing, too many to mention but the restaurant teams, bar teams, ladies in the spa they all make it really fun. They even cope so well with some of the ruder guests. We went for a premium room which was so large in size with a huge terrace. The rooms could do with an upgrade and some extra touches like cushions on the outside chairs and loungers, one of the reasons for 4 stars. Housekeeping was excellent and additions of fridge and water restocked daily. Food wise we mainly ate in the Buffett which had more choice than anyone could need and sat in various areas which were all nice. Tried the fast food place for lunch, simple menu but good food and service. The Asian was lovely setting and plenty of choice. The only disappointment was the Meat/steak restaurant, food was ok at best, would not recommend the chicken. Booking an A la Carte is tough as they go so quickly. Plenty of outside seating spaces, and more than enough sunloungers in different areas, again could do with some padded ones especially around infinity pool, would expect this in Adults area. Will definitely go back

It says All Inclusive, but if you stay there for one night, you don't get most of the benefits. They charge us for All Inclusive, however during check-in it was told us that we can access only two restaurants. And the funny part is the second day the restaurant opens at 12 PM, though it is mentioned 11:00 AM. When we went to them for food, the staff said it is chargeable, since it is check-out time. So do not fall for their All Inclusive trap, if you planning to stay there for one night. You get benefits only if you stay more than one day.
