We stayed at this hotel twice over the course of two trips in October and November, totaling nearly 25 days. Overall, it was a decent experience. Here's a breakdown of the good and the bad: The Good: 1. Exceptional Staff: By far, the best part of our stay was the friendly and accommodating staff, particularly at the front desk. They were always willing to offer discounts when we extended our stay, and they really made us feel welcome when we returned for our second trip. 2. Prime Location: The hotel is ideally situated, with everything we needed within walking distance. Whether it was dining, shopping, or sightseeing, it was a perfect spot for us. 3. Clean Rooms: While the rooms were a bit outdated, they were consistently clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. The Bad: 1. Wi-Fi Issues: One of the biggest drawbacks was the Wi-Fi. It was painfully slow in the rooms, often dropping below 8 Mbps. The only place with decent Wi-Fi speed was the reception area, which was frustrating. 2. Old Doors and Locks: The doors and their locks were outdated. Every time we tried to open the door, it took multiple attempts. The lack of NFC key cards for both the room and garage doors felt like a step back in convenience. 3. Elevator Problems: There were three elevators, but only two went down to the garage (B level). It became annoying when the one elevator that didn't go to the garage opened, especially when you needed it the most. 4. Limited Laundry Facilities: There were only two washing machines in the building—one on the 2nd floor and one on the 7th floor. It was puzzling why they couldn’t provide more machines, given the size of the hotel. 5. Inconvenient Power Switches: The placement of the power switches in the room was impractical, making it difficult to easily turn everything on or off when entering or leaving the room. 6. Noise and Smoke: While the rooms were generally quiet, we did occasionally hear noise from neighboring rooms. Worse, on some nights, there was a lot of smoke that seemed to come through the air conditioning system, even though the rooms were designated non-smoking. Despite the negatives, our overall stay was still decent. The biggest highlight for us was definitely the outstanding staff. While the issues we encountered were noticeable, they didn’t overshadow the overall experience. I would rate the hotel a 6.9/10—a solid stay.
