“Part of a dream trip”

Great location close to everything, clean and cozy. Its style and decoration are very original. Helpful and attentive staff. The room was comfortable, very nice with all the amenities. Excellent breakfast. Its rooftop with beautiful views. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel twice on our trip: once at the beginning for three nights and then at the end of the trip for another three nights. We had deluxe rooms the first three nights at the beginning of our trip. We had a standard room the last three nights we were here. Actually there wasn’t much difference between the two types of rooms we really enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We ate a few times in the restaurant for dinner and the food was also very good. The staff was terrific and always met our needs. The beds were extremely comfortable, and I slept very well at the hotel. On weekend nights it was a little noisy outside, but I was able to tune out the noise and get to sleep. One thing that I really loved that was unique about the hotel was the turtle sanctuary in the lobby.

“Wonderfully cared for hotel, full of character”

We loved our three-night stay at Armada (two nights as part of Turkish Airlines’ stopover program). It’s a historic building in wonderful condition, with a lot of character—fabulous! It feels slightly away from the crowds but is only about 5 minutes’ walk from cafes, etc. We visited in October and walked everywhere within that section of the city. The rooftop terrace was beautiful (we caught an amazing rainbow!), the breakfast buffet was varied and delicious, and supper had many options including enough for vegetarians. If we return to Istanbul, which we’d really like to, we will stay there again.

“Good Location for Must See Sites”

Nice Hotel. Comfortable, clean rooms, but can be noisy as the doors seem pretty thin. Breakfasts were very Turkish (lots of cheeses, olives, breads, and Turkish dishes.) I was challenged to figure out how to turn on and off different lights and to find working power outlets. Stayed one night in Annex which is about 200 feet from main hotel entrance. Huge room with couch, tables and nice bathroom. Main hotel room was nice size with updated bathroom. While the location seems far away from the Modern Art Museum and Galataport Promenade, it is very close to most of the “must see” sites. A steep walk of about ¼ mile brings you to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome, Cisterna Basilica, Blue Mosque, and more. The hotel staff is very friendly. Just in case you are new to Istanbul: You should not drink the water, but the hotel provides water bottles as needed. Also, I visited in September 2024 and used Uber from the airport as well as from the hotel to get around easily. Nice hotel. I would happily stay there again.
