Being in a moderate price tour group, my expectation is we are not going to stay in ultra luxo places. But here in Nevsehir, which is almost gateway to Cappadocia, world famous Stone formations area, the hotel served a convenient launching point. Stayed here for 2 nights. 5 minutes walk to a good sized mall Nissara AVM where you can find most stuff: clothings, drug store, telecoms, market, theatre, food court, clean free toilets... And also plenty of ATM kiosks few minutes walk from hotel. It's a nice neighborhood where you also find lots of shops and eateries. Hotel itself has a lot of areas that needed upgrades and improvements. But let's say for couple nights stay, let's not be so picky. If I want to be really picky, I can find fault at a 5 or 6 stars hotel. Yes free WIFI is only workable at lobby area and not bedroom. And my room has a little odor at checked in, but fixable by opening window which was very pleasant in April. Yes, call to prayer from nearby mosque at 5am one can complain about, but let's respect local culture. Had buffet dinners and breakfasts, I found I really enjoyed Turkish food all over Turkey so far. I found them to be fresh, tasty, simple and healthy when it comes to veggies and salads. The mandatory use of porters for luggages in and out of room I found kind of strange. Because DIY for just few steps I'm fully capable of. Oh well, few liras to help out the locals. Overall, the stay was pleasant enough.

“Was good”

Hotel Altinoz was ok, quiet in pandemic time. Cappadocia is amazing, do not miss it. In april not so many tourists, because of lockdown we missed to fly with the balloons, but this is a sign we have to go back...or maybe fly somewhere else :)

“Nothing Great”

It is at a fair distance from Cappadocia- Famous rock city. The rooms weren't great, with Air conditioner leaking on our head, they did try to fix it but in vain. No efforts to change the rooms were made.

I confess to have chosen this hotel because it was the only available. After my reservation I read the appalling comments of previous visitors. Thanks God, my experience was good. The room was on the second floor facing the road. The staff is kind. The breakfast is varied and good. Anyway the oranges were almost as old as me. At the reception they try to sell out tours but if you insist on having practical information about public means of transport, they give you correct answers. The room is spacious and has got a fridge. Nobody tried to charge me anything I hadn’t used. The problem of rooms is that windows are covered by a yellow tent letting the sunrays in in the morning. The working of the safe isn’t very simple. After many endeavors, I asked for help from the reception. I went in May. The pool was available but the water too cold but this isn’t the hotel’s fault. I arranged for the balloon ride at the reception. They charged me the right price. The hotel is the best solution to visit Cappadocia by public means of transport. In fact, the dolmus stop for almost every important place in Cappadocia is opposite the hotel. You will see the destination written in the front of the dolmus. You pay (very few money) directly to the driver, according to your destination, when you are inside the dolmus.
