The resort is kindda a siple and basic place...the raft rooms are on the river side..which is really nice..there have a balcony also..where you can just dip your legs in. The current of the river is quite strong..so be careful. The room is nice and spacious. .toilets are clean. The rooms on the land aint really anything special...outdated furnitures..but clean. Back in touch with nature. Staff are cool..breakfast so-so!

“Nice , Clean and basic Resort!”

River Kwai Botanic Garden resort is about 165 km from Bangkok and 32 km from Kanchanaburi city. Need own transportation to reach there or you can pre-arrange a taxi (500/one way) from the resort to pick you up from Kanchanaburi city in case if you are arriving Kanchanaburi by public transport. River Kwai Botanic Garden resort is about 165 km from Bangkok and 32 km from Kanchanaburi city. Need own transportation to reach there or you can pre-arrange a taxi (500/one way) from the resort to pick you up from Kanchanaburi city in case if you are arriving Kanchanaburi by public transport. (ex. Bus, Van or train from Bangkok). The resort is laid on a huge property with raft rooms, Jungle rooms. You won't find anything around the resort not even a single restaurant. The resort is clean, the raft rooms are spacious and clean toilet. Check-In and Check-out was smooth. The resort has a small swimming pool, a restaurant serving mostly thai food. The food taste is delicious though. If you are a late night eater then be reminded the restaurant kitchen closes at 21.00. The reception staff's are friendly but their English language will be put on test. The hotel can arrange tours around. Morning breakfast was basic just bread, butter,jam and in Egg just bullseye apart from some basic thai food (noodles, fried rice, Khao tom) and please make sure that if you are staying on a full occupancy days then eat your breakfast early about 7 to 8 am as many things get finished and they do not re-fill it. No WiFi atleast on raft rooms. Overall a basic resort, I have been to kanchaburi many times and stayed at different resorts which are away from city and close to saiyoke waterfall but this time we stayed here because those resorts we stayed before were fully booked as it was a long weekend. So... Will I stay again? hmmm may be if I can't book my previously stayed resorts.

“Improvement possible”

Stayed at the River Kwai Botanic Garden Resort during a 4-day Khwae Noi River kayak descent in March 2013. We booked rooms on the raft. Stayed at the River Kwai Botanic Garden Resort during a 4-day Khwae Noi River kayak descent in March 2013. We booked rooms on the raft. With the exception of a family we were the sole guests in this resort. This resort was a bit more expensive, but in our opinion of less quality than the Phung Waan Resort. The raft rooms had air-conditioning, refrigerator and television, but also here a limited choice of channels. The wardrobe smelled fusty and needed some aeration. Beds were just a mattress on a wooden increase. The rooms had a nice balcony on the river. Wi-Fi was available in all locations. Rooms included breakfast, which was well served. Staff was very friendly and there was night guard.
