This was by far our best ever holiday experience and we can't recommend this wonderful resort enough. We visited as a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 14 and 16. THE GROUNDS Beautiful luscious grounds with established palm trees, plants, ponds and abundent wildlife. My favourite was the imaginative network of water lily ponds which have turtles, frogs, dragonflys, fish and if you're lucky monitor lizards cooling off in the evening. There are also several species of birds making song throughout the day which create a wonderful atmospheric feel to make this resort a great choice for wildlife lovers. I would describe the grounds as meticulously kept but not in an artificial manicured way like some of the Hua Hin city hotels, so you get a more natural and rural feel with the Wyndham. POOL Thes finest pool I have had the pleasure of using - very clean, imaginatively designed and huge, with a deep pool for diving in and a shallow one for relaxing swimming and cooling off. There are plenty of good quality loungers and umbrellas for keeping out of the sun were welcomed. A nice touch were delicious complimentary drinks brought to you by a member of staff on a daily basis - it's the small details like this that really made the difference to us. ROOMS Our family room was beautiful. More space than you need with a huge bed for the parents and comfortable single beds for the kids. An espresso coffee pod machine was a welcomed bonus for us with coffee pods renewed daily and lots of bottled water stocked in the fridge which we didn't expect! The ground floor balcony we had was huge and faced out onto the grounds which was very special. GENERAL VIBE We chose the Wyndham because of the reviews which said it was peaceful. I can confirm this is exactky what you will get with this being on a quiet stretch of the beach front with the rooms set back into the large grounds, making sleeping hours quiet and uninterrupted. BIKES Another pleasant surprise was the free use of bicyles which are parked up in two points in the resort. You can simply hop on a bicycle and use it at your leisure, which we made full use of by taking a cycle to Khao Kalok Beach, a nearby cafe, restaurant or Seven Eleven for snacks for the day. This is a big bonus for us as bicyle hire can be pricey. ACTIVITIES Many tennis and pickleball courts, Volleyball, a nice archery area, a huge skatepark and paths for cycling around the resort will satisfy all of your sporting needs. The fitness studio is discretely tucked away and very impressive, with stepping stones over a lilly pond leading to the entrance, with views of plants and flowers as you workout. SPA A wonderful spa in the most beautiful of settings is a must to try during your stay. BREAKFAST More than enough choice of local food options and for western palettes. Many freshly prepared fruit options and excellent coffee and fruit juice machines will satisfy your needs. The restaurant is also beautifully presented and feels special to dine in on an evening. STAFF This is a big part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. The staff are warm, friendly, attentive and always eager to please - a big thank you to the Wyndham staff for making our stay extra special. The Thai people in general are what makes us want to visit Thailand and the Wyndham again in the future. DAYS OUT Our picks are the Wildlife Friends Foundation, Monsoon Valley Vineyard, Phraya Nakhon Cave, Hua Hin Night Market and Tamarind Market.
