The hotel is beautifull nestle in a amazing gardem riverfront . The room was very spacius with very high ceelings, and balcony overlooking the river. Bed comfy and big as the toilet. Breakfast amazed us with quality, quantity and serene vibes. Riverfront restaurant is a must do in sunset time very good thai food we order. The pool is tranquil and a bless. Overall the hotel is very calm athmosfere what we love soo much. Was very pleasant stay.

This is probably the best international standard option in Chiang Rai. Firstly the hotel has a tranquil riverside setting. The hotel is modern and comfortable. The decor and finish is not super luxurious but it’s fine and the price is reasonable so it is good value. The rooms are large with shiny wood floors. The beds are comfy with good pillows. Bathrooms are large with tile floors. One problem is because of the resort like setting and open air corridors there are mosquitoes. If you see them in the room ask them to spray the room. I was bitten in the corridors near the lobby bakery area. So you may want to apply insect repellent during your stay. Service is attentive and helpful with sightseeing advice and arranging transport. Try to arrange transport in advance as it can take some time. The Italian restaurant is surprisingly good and the riverside setting is relaxing. My room was a bit of a walk from the lobby. My party got connecting rooms which was nice. If you need to be closer request in advance.

The Meridien is located just outside town on the river. There is nothing around the hotel so you are isolated from shops, services and restaurants. The Meridien is located just outside town on the river. There is nothing around the hotel so you are isolated from shops, services and restaurants. This limits dining options to those offered by the hotel unless you take a taxi ride or a long walk along a busy road. There are a couple of dining options offered, a Thai restaurant, a bar with food and an Italian restaurant. We dined at the bar one night which offers food from the Italian restaurant. The food and cocktails were good but the service was slow despite us being the only table. We tried the Italian restaurant Favola the following night which is located on the river. There was a duet playing music who were very good and added to the relaxed ambiance. The food was excellent although not typical Italian and the service was attentive. We really enjoyed the dining experience. The hotel has a nice pool but it was way too cold to swim in. Heating the pool to make it usable in December should be given consideration as the setting is nice and most people would probably appreciate the option of having a swim. We booked a river view balcony room. The room we were given was right at the end of the building and did have a river view but it wasn't directly facing the river. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom. The decor was fine although was showing a few signs of wear. The major issue with the room was the bed. The mattress was saggy and old. We had to stuff pillows underneath each side to prevent back ache. Rather than a box base the mattress sat on cheap wooden slats. This was the worst bed we have come across in a property of this standard. As we were only staying two nights it wasn't worth addressing the issue as we didn't have time, so put up with it. The setting of the hotel is tranquil and the gardens give it a resort feel. It is a good choice for a few nights and offered quality dining options which were better than the other hotels we stayed at during our trip.

The Le Meridien is a modern hotel on the riverside in Chiang Rai, we had a room on the 2nd level overlooking the pool area. The room was very comfortable with a large kingsize bed, area with a sofa and small table, a balcony with additional seating and a large bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and separate bath. The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. Breakfast was buffet style which was very good with lots of choices of hot and cold dishes. I would recommend this hotel in Chiang Rai.
