We absolutely adore this property and have just completed yet another multi-week luxury stay. The property itself is so very gorgeous, especially if you are lucky enough to land in the 'theme' room of your choice. We are particularly fond of the Water and Wood rooms/suites and not so much the Metal (very stark and white) - but others love them. So the advice is to pre-emptively put in a request for your preferred 'element' and be less likely to be disappointed. The nearness to Lumphini Park is also great. You can run or walk or just sit and enjoy the many cats and squirrels and water monitors. Or bicycle using one of the hotel's bikes. There is an MRT station a few minutes' walk away, which makes getting around BKK so easy. And the new One Bangkok development across the road (which we were concerned was going to turn out to be another Icon Siam or such full of garish lights etc) is a real boon to the neighbourhood. Shops, restaurants, salons for hair and nails, supermarkets ... there is really no need to move from the Lumphini area at all! Of course, it goes without saying that the SO/ employs only the best, most engaged and engaging staff. To a fault, everyone is there to help you have the best experience. Whether it's the smiley staff who greet you at both entry doors, or the amazing team in the executive lounge, or even the housekeeping staff, we have never encountered anything other than complete professionalism and dedication to service. Bravo, bravo, bravo to the SO/ Bangkok for maintaining such a high standard, and being simply and consistently the best SEA property we have stayed at in our 25 years of travel in the area.

“International buffet”

International buffet is many delicious food. Restaurant' s staff are excellent service mind and take care customers. There are Japanese sashimi and sushi, Thai food, Salad, Cheese, Seafood on ice, Wellingtons beef and salmon, Ice-cream, cake and dessert, etc.

I had a fantastic experience at the buffet! The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. They even wrote "Happy Birthday" on my dessert—it felt so warm and special! Highly recommended! And I will come again next time. @FAH Bomb pop

Sofitel So Bangkok is a standout destination, renowned for its stunning views and innovative design. This hotel has been on my list for some time, and my stay lived up to the anticipation. Each floor of the hotel reflects a distinct theme, adding a sense of excitement even before check-in. I stayed in a corner room with the Wood Element theme, where the view was truly breathtaking. Overlooking the serene Lumpini Park, with the bustling Siam district and the rising landmark One Bangkok in the distance, the room offered a perfect balance of tranquility and urban energy. The location is another highlight. With One Bangkok nearing completion, a world-class shopping mall is just a five-minute walk away, elevating the convenience and appeal of the hotel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and the thoughtful turndown service ensured a relaxing experience throughout my stay. I look forward to returning to Sofitel So Bangkok, a true sanctuary in the city's heart.
