I've been staying at this hotel for many years since I live in Chiang Mai and regularly visit Bangkok. Over that time I have got to know the staff very well, I contact them directly and they have never ceased to be prompt and responsive. On this occasion a relative was visiting me from the UK; this was his first trip to Thailand and I was anxious that it all went smoothly. As always, Mr A, one of the staff, organised a series of excursions and also recommended a few that hadn't occurred to me. The two-hour boat / buffet trip in the evening, which he suggested, was first class as was the visit to Erawan Waterfalls - a stunning location. The entire stay went perfectly and left my cousin with a very positive impression - including the pool which he used every day he was there. The rooms are a good size, spotless and well maintained, the wi-fi worked perfectly, the beds are large and comfortable and the overall standard of the furnishings is high. The reception staff, all of whom speak English, are without exception friendly, are quick to organise transport and, despite often being very busy, will give you their full attention. Because of my schedules, I didn't take breakfast this time, but I have done in the past and have always found the food to be satisfactory with a reasonable variety. The hotel is close to BTS Sala Daeng and BTS Chong Nonsi both of which involve about a five minute walk in either direction. Lumphini Park is close by, as is the MRT Silom. That matters in a busy city such as Bangkok: you have fast, easy and cheap access to two transport systems; that means you can, without relying on taxis or over-priced tuk-tuks (I haven't used the latter for years) reach the major shopping districts at Siam and at National Stadium, where the MBK Mall is situated. The Royal Palace and surrounding sights e.g. Wat Arun can be reached by the MRT, and both transport systems will also take you further afield to Chatuchak market. The hotel is located in a side road and although the street can have a lot of traffic during the day, it is quiet in the evening. Around the corner from the hotel are shops, markets, clubs, ATMs and plenty of food outlets. It has been my first choice hotel for a long time and I have already reserved for a further 3 night stay in January when my cousin's trip reaches its end.

“Nice stay, quite good location and value for money”

The room was okay, overall comfortable and clean. The staff was so nice and friendly. Location is quite good, not too far from shopping areas, metro, SkyTrain, Lumphini Park. Breakfast was nothing special, but okay. We did not use the swimming pool. Overall good value for money.

“Good hotel for business district ”

Rooms are quite large but older style. Bed was comfy with a requested mattress topper. Bathroom had a shower bath only which my husband fell when getting out of it. Floor staff were super kind. “Dirty pool and spa with mouldy steps. Poor wifi.”

Booked this hotel primarily for pool use. We could not use pool as the water condition was dirty with grimy, unclean pool walls and black mould on steps. Booked this hotel primarily for pool use. We could not use pool as the water condition was dirty with grimy, unclean pool walls and black mould on steps. We paid more than usual for this Bangkok hotel because of pool. It was unswimmable. The area gets very little sun and required pool water treatment is lacking. We notified staff and after 3 days pool remained the same. The two rooms we were allocated were both so dated and the beds on level 2, in the twin bed room were very firm. We requested to move to a high floor room with a shower (no bath tub) as one of us is disabled. Our request was delivered with kindness and understanding. If you want peace and no traffic noise then request high floor pool view however we were informed that high floors were smoking floors. This is not the case on level 5 but traffic noise from Soi 3 can still be heard in street facing rooms. Thai staff were hospitable and housekeeping was excellent. Early check in was appreciated. Wifi was inconsistent and required repeated sign in. Wifi was of no use for streaming or video calls to family back home. We would not recommend this hotel or stay again.
