I’d like to commend Peerapon, an employee at the Orchid Café, a circular dining space in one corner of the lobby at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel. Considering the hotel’s reputation, the number of visitors, and room count, I believe the café, which also serves as the breakfast venue, is relatively small. Naturally, this could make it very crowded, but during our six-day stay, we never felt it resembled a bustling market. This is likely due to the operational expertise honed over many years, but I also attribute it to the excellent service by the café's staffs. Despite what must be a challenging environment, the team members work incredibly efficiently and skillfully during breakfast hours. I was impressed by their swift and timely responses, which I observed nearly every day. Thanks to their diligence, the restaurant maintains a high turnover rate, allowing this relatively small space to accommodate guests smoothly. Peerapon, in particular, stood out for his exceptionally kind service, warm familiarity that made us feel like friends, and a constant, bright smile. He handled all tasks with impressive speed and competence, meeting the highest standards of service. Though I’m not sure why he was so kind to us specifically, he even took the time amidst the busyness to bring us two pain au chocolat pastries, personally warmed for us. Such a thoughtful gesture from a buffet staff member is rare and demonstrates an exceptional level of care. On our last day, I sought him out to thank him personally, without interrupting his work, and we took a commemorative photo together. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit stands out for its convenient location, professional service capabilities, unrivaled pool quality, and elegant rooms that maintain a timeless feel despite the hotel’s history. However, I believe a single dedicated team member like Peerapon, who genuinely strives to connect with guests, is the true asset of this hotel. When I next visit Bangkok and stay again at the Sheraton, I look forward to experiencing once more all the outstanding qualities that make this hotel memorable. Thank you again, Peerapon!

I am writing to commend Mr. Bint Raksapakdee, the Front Office Manager at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, for his exemplary professionalism and response capabilities as a hotelier. During our stay, we encountered room conditions that could have easily affected our experience negatively. However, Mr. Bint’s response and judgment were outstanding. He first offered a sincere apology for the situation before anything else, calmed the upset customer, proposed a suitable solution, and maintained the highest level of care until our departure. This approach aligns with the ideal response guidelines for handling customer complaints—not just in the hotel industry, but across all sectors. In reality, however, it is rare to find places that follow these protocols effectively, as many are quick to make excuses. Mr. Bint’s conduct perfectly matched the attitude we expect and appreciate in a hotelier. He not only provided a solution but ensured smooth continuity by assigning an alternate point of contact during his absence, maintaining seamless service until our checkout. We personally expressed our gratitude to him, telling him he was not just "one of them" but truly "one of a kind." To us, he was more than a representative of the Sheraton; he was practically an ambassador for Bangkok and Thailand as a whole. Thanks to him, our memories of both the hotel and Thailand itself are exceptional. There is a saying that when a dissatisfied customer is won back, they become loyal for life. For us, the Sheraton has certainly achieved this. If we return to Bangkok, we look forward to experiencing that same level of excellent service we received this time, paying fair value for what we know will be a first-rate experience. We ate at the Orchid lunch buffet and the quality of service and food were beyond excellent. My favorite was the prime Australian beef and the smoked salmon. I don’t know how they can provide such high quality food for such a reasonable price. The service team and manager, Krit, are the best. This is by far the finest buffet I’ve had in Bangkok.
