The hotel itself is niece and clean, everything is to a good, basic standard. The difference is the location, being way down in soi 8, the hotel is close enough to the action but also in a quiete and for a city green location. I love to walk down the soi in the evening after a day in the city. p.s.: BTS Nana is at the top of the soi.

“Good value”

Really good value at this place, good location, staff friendly,good bed wifi was little up and down this time,small rooms but clean, always stays here for a night or 2 when im in Bangkok 7/11 is 1 minute away

Firstly when entering the premises and room, you get the feeling that its overpriced. Small lobby, towels lying around on the stairs, broken tiles, in the room everything is quite old and of the cheapest variant, everything from furniture, towels that have been washed too many times and have strings hanging loose, to a budget TV, electric shower, and down to the coffee spoons. Doors to shower are wooden sheets that should be on a closet/wardrobe. If you forgot your bottle opener and hope to use spoons to bend a bottle open - forget it. The metal is thin as a paper sheet and bends like aluminum. But the walls have been painted recently and apart from the occasional lousy painting where colours change, it still gives a feeling of that there are some maintenance, and its clean. Pillows were actually comfortable, and although small, the breakfast is still good (recommend coming earier, as they may not replace items that finish when its late, so you might not be having any eggs for example). Also housekeeping was good. So all in all, price might just be right after all. I saw some reviews below of guests who couldnt enter as hotel closes as 6pm. I didnt know about this until I left, but I was also lucky that I arrived earlier in the afternoon. I do not know what I would have done if i came to a closed door. I have no phone plan that works in Thailand. So that would be a major concern of course, if anyone doesnt plan to arrive early.

“Holiday”

We have stopped over at Sawasdee Hotel each time over the last 10 years when we are in Bangkok. This time, the hotel has been painted, looking nice. But, their tuk tuk don't work anymore, so, you've to drag your luggage all the way from Nana bts. So, make sure u find a transport. No breakfast serve… more

We have stopped over at Sawasdee Hotel each time over the last 10 years when we are in Bangkok. This time, the hotel has been painted, looking nice. But, their tuk tuk don't work anymore, so, you've to drag your luggage all the way from Nana bts. So, make sure u find a transport. No breakfast served here, staff go home by 6 pm, the place is not manned at night. The shower is too hot, you've to get a cold shower. I nearly burnt my hand as I tested the shower, and had to cool my hand down. Key deposit was 500 baht, 2 keys, 1000 baht. 2 x 7/11 on this road so u can buy stuff. Staff is nice and will help where they can.
