“Excellent venue”

Excellent front office operation. Expensive and bad brunch on Sunday. Boat to ICONSIAM is a great add on. I would stay there again. “Brilliant Location and very professional”

I stayed with my family in high schools rise room for 3 nights. The view alone made the stay worthwhile. Nighttime view of Chao Phraya river with ICONSIAM opposite and high rise hotels and business towers dotting the banks gave beautiful view. Another advantage was location of hotel which was centrally located to visit Royal Palace, Wat Pho by taking public ferry. Breakfast was good with multiple options available and restaurant too had river view which made breakfast more enjoyable. Only negative thing about hotel is that on closer looks the interior and exterior look outdated in comparison to Hilton (which is on opposite bank).

For this year, my partner and I decided to visit Thailand for our birthday celebration. It is his first time visiting the country whilst it's my second time. Conveniently located next to Chao Phraya River, the River of Kings, the hotel is easily accessible to all modes of transportation with two public piers and a private pier. We chose to at stay at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in May due to its proximity to several tourist locations and for a change, we want to have a river view. The lobby is wide and has a beautiful contemporary style of classic gold and teak. While our overall experience was pleasant, there are several areas of opportunities for improvement. The Positives: Breakfast Selection: The breakfast selection was impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The highlight for me was the live noodle station, which offered freshly made noodles that were absolutely comforting to eat in the morning, being a South Asian descent. There is also a wide selection of pastry and fresh fruits which I also loved. River View Room: Our room had a stunning view of the river, which added a serene and picturesque element to our stay. This was one of the best aspects of the room, in addition to floor-to-ceiling window. Sheraton Shuttle Boat Service: A classic boat with traditional Thai accents is provided complimentary every 30mins from the hotel jetty to the Taksin skytrain (BTS) station and ICONSIAM Shopping mall, a total of ten-minute ride journey. We used the service to go to Iconsiam mall to exchange dollars to local currency. The ferry terminal is conveniently located just in front of the mall and easy to find. Areas for Improvement: Service: The service at the hotel was just okay. There were instances where we felt that the staff could be more attentive and responsive. During our check-in, the interaction with the receptionist is very brief and felt robotic. We had a long flight from the UAE and arrived in the morning. The Front Desk staff gave us a piece of paper as reference for the basic information about the hotel, without an effort to explain this and that and connect with us further. He also have my passport details and aware that it is my birthday (or probably not), though not necessary but a simple Happy Birthday greeting will do the magic during check-in to set the tone of our entire stay. As we enter the room, there was a beautiful birthday bed decoration to greet us. Later afternoon, a gentleman ring to hand a small birthday cake which I considered very thoughtful, though he just handed it over without greetings, and there is no lighter to light the candle. This aspect of our stay left room for improvement and fell short of our expectations. To conclude, the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers offers some great amenities and a beautiful view of the river, but it needs to have more effort in connecting with guests in emotional level. The Bell Service Team is attentive and very helpful when you need a taxi ride. Despite this drawback, we had a memorable stay, particularly enjoying the breakfast and the boat ride.

A rather old hotel, even though it has a great view of the river. The interior room badly needs upgrading, especially the bathroom. The ferry service to ICONSIAM is convenient. There are two lift lobbies serving the hotel, with one serving the higher floors. Stayed here for a few times, but they never upgraded my room even though I am a Marriot Ambassador Elite member. They made me feel as if they would prefer to sell the rooms rather than affording the benefits to loyal customers of Marriot. The staff's attitude at the front desk and those cleaning up the rooms leaves much to be desired. Since we are not being appreciated despite being regular guest, I don't think I will return again. I should try other newer hotels of the Marriot group.
